Short but good!

This was interesting in a good way. Willow doesn’t know what she is and we get a front site to experience it with her. New Academy, new friends and new powers. It was an easy read, world building is getting there, characters seem to develop nicely and the mystery is there. She is cursed and she needs to stop it or lose her powers. I am guessing book two will go more into her powers and abilities this one gives you a little bit but not enough. It’s seems she has four mates and they all factor into a different catagory. Narrator did a good job.

I really enjoyed this one. The school has such an interesting premise with the half human, half paranormal student body and how they keep it secret. This is a reverse harem with zero spice, not sure if that'll pick up in the series or not, but I've git my fingers crossed because I adore these four.

I love that it's one of the guys that's human. Usually when we human/paranormal pairings its the girl who is human and has no clue magic exists, this should be a fun twist going forward.

The audio was great. I really loved Vanessa Moyen and thought she did a wonderful job with these characters. And Audio Sorceress did a wonderful job with the production as well.

Fun story!

Creative story with interesting characters. The first book isn't spicy, but it sets up the series with a why-choose plot. This is a great book when you want to escape reality, but don't want the emotional damage of a book like Fourth Wing.
