Omegaverse meets Handmaidstale

**READ THE TRIGGERS**
This is a post war omegaverse world were omegas are the "handmaidens". This book is mostly trauma with some consensual scenes. Kept me in a constant state of anxiousness but I'm you can handle it, there's never a dull moment

Interesting Storyline

The author has quite the imagination. Sounds like much of the atrocities that occurred in the past. I can’t understand if an Alpha has this much control over an Omega, why was this necessary? The narrators did a great job bringing characters to life. Will follow series.

Glad I gave it a shot

I don’t normally listen to trauma stories, however a couple of reviews let me know what was inside. The narrators did well could at least tell the different characters apart. The new idea is fascinating to me which opens up the idea of is this the world that we currently live on. The future or a different branch/planet. Will also check out the rest of the series.

Powerful Story

The Omega’s determination and growth saves the pack. I enjoyed the storyline. I hope the two omegas contact as some point.

Unexpectedly Good!

I don’t usually listen/read to a new author with just 10 reviews but I gave it a shot and it delivered! Interesting concept and well written story, there was no boring moment. It started out very strong, the end was a bit rushed for my taste but still I enjoyed it very much.
Going on to the next one 🤩

The trauma

Wow… great story. The TRAUMA!! So yeah, check those warnings before reading.
But this was one serious backwards omegaverse world. It’s one of the first that I have personally read were the Omegas are completely second class citizens, to the point of slavish/ zero personal identity. The poor girls are given a number and names aren’t used while they are being “trained at the omega compound.” The Omega’s of the Universe are blamed for the low birth rates and for the beta women losing the ability to conceive at all. So the government controls the Omegas and who has access to them. Since they are the only ones that can get pregnant. And the children who are conceived outside of pack bond coupling are then adopted out to Beta parents. Also they are blamed for the war 20 years prior.

I nearly cried while listening to this while grocery shopping today.
The audiobook was fantastically narrated by none other than Troy Duran. That man’s voice just makes me melt.
Samantha Cook the other narrator also does a great job. I’m just a huge Duran fan. So I fan girl just a little 😅

Best story line and narration!

Narrators we’re Amazon hand the story line is so good. Can’t wait for the second book to come to audible.

Interesting twist on the Omegaverse

Having read other Omegaverse stories, they usually focus on the fated mate origin and some with the rejected mate concept. Having read Pack Darling the idea of Omegas not being treated as kindly and revered was always a neat twist. This book takes it another step and the tortuous way Omegas are treated is truly interesting and different. The story flowed well and then just kind of sped up towards the end and then created a large miscommunication trio which bothers me, but that’s just me. I understand the need for it in the story but I always find myself yelling at the FMC for not just asking and only assuming the worse. It’s a very compelling world this series is going in and I look forward to continuing. The narration was terrific with Troy and Samantha. Samantha Cook was new to me and I think she did a great job of portraying the emotions of Harper. Troy is just amazing and having to voice 4 different Alphas and making them distinguishable is always mind blowing. He could’ve read the whole book and I would’ve been happy lol

Human nature!

It seems to be in human nature that someone has to be blamed when another suffers. The Omegas are that someone. When we first meet Harper she is traumatized and scared, but there is an inner strength in her that has her surviving. Maybe it is stupidity, but maybe it can be hope. Her alphas are scandalized to find out how she is treated and can't stomach the rules they are to live by if she is to be allowed to come home with them. This a great story of growth, love, and change. 18+
