it's literally a movie in your head. it's ridiculous how I would sit down. put my earphone in stare out of wall and listen to the story rather than scroll through tiktok mindlessly

An amazing start to a YA series
More of 3 1/2 stars for me - rounded up since I am not the targeted audience.
This was a fantastic YA novel! It was action packed from the get go. I can see it possibly being a bit creepy and tense to a teenager. There is an enormous amount of violence but the good guy actions balances it out. A great book to get a reluctant reader hooked if they are into light horror. It’s a short, fast paced read that will hold your interest wanting more when it’s over.
I’m very interested in finding out all the details that were left out. The Who, what, why of it all is not included in book one. It definitely gets you hooked wanting more.

This is one of my favorite book series! I read it years ago and it nearly gave me nightmares. the story is very well written. when I found it on here I was so happy! I can't wait to finish listening to the series again. the narration is perfect
