Perfect

Excellent narrator and amazing story. I read this book in middle school and loved it, great to hear it depicted just as well as reading it!

great story terrible narration

the narrator has such a boring monotone voice it ruined the book for me. i remember loving this book before

Favorite book series

This is my favorite book series and I’m so glad audible did a good job with it. Having multiple character narrators it is important to have different inflection for each character and this narrator does a good job of bringing the characters to life. The book itself can be considered controversial so readers please be aware of this at the beginning.

Stop what you are doing and immediately download this book!!!

I had expected this book to be a good one but it was absolutely great. It is creative, innovative, fast paced and breathtaking. At times the suspense was intense. At other times I found myself horrified. Then I was in tears.

I sincerely hope that some director and producer options this for a movie. I will now download the other 4 titles from this series.

Emotionally Invested

My now-22 year old daughter has begged me to read this for YEARS. I’m in awe of the relevance of the topic and how I became emotionally involved in the lives of every character. I can’t speak more without spoilers, but prepare yourself. If you are a fan of the dystopian genre, this won’t disappoint.

it's good but so dark

It's a very good book but Jesus the material is so dark. I really hope that prolife and prochoice factions in real life get themselves together. overturning roe v wade was one of the greatest mistakes of the century.

Disturbingly powerful

The story is thought-provoking and engaging. It can sometimes be disturbing an emotional but it takes you on a journey that you feel as well as think.

Dumbfounded

I was admittedly skeptical before listening. At the start, the seemingly monotone narration took a moment to feel comfortable. Still, the voices and their distinctive natures are spectacular, making the less nuanced moments of elaboration more impactful. The skill of voicing each character made the entire book (with all the many individuals) incredibly easy to follow. Hats off to the narrator!

The story itself gripped me pretty quickly; I was pleasantly thrilled with the entire concept as the chapters were expounded upon and the characters developed. Throughout the entire listen, I kept coming back to the idea that this sounds like something that could happen in the next few years, and all the social arguments presented sound just like how the current social climate interacts. The presentation is dumbfounding and thrilling all at once. I cringed, raged, mourned, celebrated, and sat bewildered.

Great job with different characters’ voices

Loved it! Hope to read another by the author and presenter. Story makes you think.

Amazing but slightly confusing at times

This is an amazing book with many different aspects that were all executed extremely well, but there were some parts that felt like it was skipping around for no apparent reason and some of those parts never really had anything added afterwards to help it make sense in later chapters. However those parts are very small pieces of this book so it still kept my interest
