When I’m running on fumes while driving on what feels like the loneliest stretch of road in California, I worry I’m in trouble. Luckily, I happen upon Aqua Vista, a sleepy coastal town with the only pump for miles, and the grumpy owner who is more gorgeous than he has any right to be. When I’m told I’ll need more than fuel to disable the check engine light on my dash, I figure there are worse places to be stuck while my car gets needed repairs.

After driving the handsome city dweller to a local motel, the last thing I expect is the hot hookup that happens afterward. As soon as his car is ready, he’s on his way home, so imagine my surprise when he shows up a couple of months later with an offer to buy my business. No way I want an out-of-towner to own part of what my family has built here. Even if I’m not always fulfilled by it. Besides, it belonged to my parents, and it’s all I have left of them.

When Aaron decides to spend several days in town, I figure it’s to soften me up to his proposal. I shouldn’t hook up with him again. Or spend time showing him around…but I do. Before I know it, the charming, attractive visitor starts to feel familiar, almost like he belongs here. Like he’s woven himself into the very fabric of Aqua Vista. I’m fooling myself, of course, and it’ll certainly sting when he hits the road. Outsiders never stay, and though I secretly wish he would, I’m no stranger to heartache.

One broken car can change two lives.

This was a very cute story about a chance encounter that changes two lives irrevocably.
When Aaron stops for gas at the only gas station for miles in Aqua Vista, and has to spend the night because his car needs maintenance, the last thing he expects is to meet and hook up with the gas station owner Jack. When Jack cannot stop thinking about his one-night-stand with city-boy Aaron, the last thing he expects is for the man to come back with a business proposition.
What both men did not expect, is to fall in love, and to find strength in each other to overcome the past and look into the future together.
A very-low-angst book, superbly narrated by Nick J Russo, perfect to spend a few hours dreaming of the sun and the beach.

Just Jack... and Aaron

A stop at a gas station changes the lives of Jack and Aaron. This is a sweet story of falling in love with both each other and the small town. Jack and family are a tight nit group that has overcome some loss. Aaron and his business partner see an opportunity. But is it worth the derailing a possibility of love. This was a enjoyable story and brought to life by the amazing Nick Russo. I absolutely loved his voice for this story.

Short and Sweet

This was a relatively short listen but the story was absolutely beautiful. I fell in love with the small town and can't wait to read more. The two guys are super cute together as well. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

This was an exceptional listen. The storyline was awesome and I loved all the characters. I look forward to the next book in the series!

Chance meeting Leads to Love

Just Jack is an adorable small town romance. I love our guys and I love Jacks family. I’m so hoping for more books in this world.

Overall, it was an okay story. It was a good audio to have in the background while working. I just didn't get drawn into it much.

Great Story & Narration🎧A Heartwarming Romance!

Christina Lee pens another wonderful novel, a small town romance that captivates your attention and tugs at your heartstrings the entire time. This first book of her “Aqua Vista” series is Aaron’s and Jack’s, and the two meet when Aaron’s car is running on fumes and Jack’s gas station is the only one around for miles. And with his car needing more than gas, he sticks around to wait for it to be serviced. Aaron may come from the city, but not only was he taken with Jack, but with Aqua Vista, too. Jack carries a lot of weight on his shoulder, and he never got over the loss of his parents. And from his experience, he knows long-distance relationships never work out, so he fights his attraction to Aaron because he knows he won’t be sticking around. It was great watching these two get to know each other and enjoyed watching their relationship grow into something more. I also enjoyed the small town charm and getting to meet some of the other residents. This heartwarming story is low on angst and has the perfect balance of drama, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. The writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Christina Lee, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Nick J. Russo delivers an amazing performance bringing these characters to life, giving each a voice that was fitting and was believable in every role. His portrayal of each character was spot-on, grasping every aspect of their personalities and demeanor perfectly. He set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. Russo is a versatile voice artist and his performance elevates the story to another level. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to.

Jack and Aaron

This started out kind of slow but I did enjoy it. Jack and Aaron’s story was multilayered. They deserved their hard eat HEA. Nick J Russo brings these characters to life.

When love finds you 🫶🏽

There’s always something about a small town romance that just brings chills to my soul. The insta lustful attraction gave them their beginning, but love found them in the end. This story has everything, a close-knit family vibe with a cursed town and the single mother and son with an amazing relationship! Not only did Jack and Aaron begin their journey through what was supposed to be a one night, but they had this pull that kept bringing them back together.

In all honesty, I am not a fan of Nick’s narrative style. I can’t never differentiate between the characters much as his voice never seems to change much.
