Wonderful and heartfelt Explanation of a Near Death Experience

It is obvious the Junger did a Great deal of research- I especially enjoyed his discussions on Quantum Physics.

this was beautiful and written in a balanced way between the two unknowns...religious and scientific views. Still resonating days later

Mesmerizing exploration of consciousness, physics, medicine

I was enchanted by the mixture of almost hallucinogenic narrative, combined with stark detailed analysis of physics, Medicine, the personal journey of nearly dying. I’m not a big reader of nonfiction, but I couldn’t put it down.

Don’t miss this of the subject appeals. Great writing and a spoken performance that is up to the task.

Quality of writing and narration are excellent

The author makes excellent point about NDEs nearly unique characteristic of visions of deceased relatives. The only negative of the book was too much time on pop physics at the end. There are many who do not accept the Copenhagen Theory and have alternatives.

Fascinating story about the Universe!

Great account by Sebastian Junger about his amazing life and experience with death. A must read for everyone like me who is in his mid 80’s. BR.

Highly Personal and Thought Provoking Read

I preordered this book after hearing the author interviewed on a recent podcast. I found it a well written, thought provoking read expertly read by the author. An eye-opener that keeps your interest to the end.

Insanely good

Gripping and fascinating. Well researched and exquisitely written. So glad Sebastian Junger also narrated, as a story like this really can’t be told by anyone but the person who lived it.

Skeptical but with an open mind

A fresh perspective into a paranormal event that's true to the definition. The author helps bridge the gap between physical and metaphysical. If you can drag the ghost out of the darkness and begin to study it, the story would preface that investigation. This book may be an introduction into eventually understanding what we currently can not. We are the dog, looking at the television, and thinking the images are real.
