About this listen

Defeat the Bitch Goddess. Rescue my sweetheart. Marry my lovers.

Lilith, Empress of Demons, has charged me with defeating the Bitch Goddess's remaining generals. My quest will take me beyond the burning sands of the Endless Dunes to the frozen, cursed reaches of the Coldspite Basin.

With my lovers by my side–the innocent orcish maiden, the insatiable dragonkin, and the rough and tumble goblin–nothing will get in my way.

I will save my sweetheart and destroy the Bitch Goddess before she brings about the end of the world.

Warning: This novel is not appropriate for all ages; it contains descriptions of violence, unconventional relationships, and limitless adventure.

A great continuation to a fun story

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this series and I get to enjoy it again with the audiobook releases. In this volume we see Mal continue to grow into his own and work towards a certain goal. I really enjoyed both the new characters as well as all of the returning ones and I especially liked Lilith and Annie's dynamic. The voice acting was good too. Robert Bradvica and Alyssa Poon do a good job bringing the characters to life and keeping the story interesting. I am looking forward to Vol 3 when it comes to Audible.

Adventuring Became Much More Entertaining.

This was a huge improvement from book 1, in terms of character development and all-around entertainment.

The second the main character decided on a goal to strive toward, the story almost felt like night and day. It's the difference from being dragged along an adventure and actively going on one.

The story continues to entertain with dynamic characters and a decent amount of action and character growth.

Poon and Bradvica handle their parts well and keep the story immersive.

This book shaped the series nicely and I'm looking forward to seeing how it ends.

This series is so good and only on book 2!

"I Don't Want to Be the Hero Vol. 2 by M.E. Thorne is an engaging and thrilling continuation of the series. The characters are well-developed and the plot keeps you on the edge of your seat. Highly recommended for fans of fantasy and adventure!"

Progression

This is how a sequel is meant to be. Story line was completely believable with no random adage that seems like an after thought. Each of the character's progress, personalities, and motivations make sense. And by all that is holy there wasn't any stupidity that was only survived because of mc magic (main character magic - when the main character survives a cocky and or stupid decision that would leave 99% of anyone else dead, because the world won't allow them to die or suffer justly).
I'm looking forward to continuing the series and hoping for more progression of the mc to someone more terrifying.
