If society fell apart, could your family survive? Jim Powell thought he was ready. He was a regular guy who travelled a lot for work and hated every second he was away from his young family. Story
Before the lights went out, Jack Warrant never considered himself a prepper. That was someone on the edge, a conspiracy theorist or a doomsday cultist who had a fatalistic view of the world. He was neither a theorist nor a cultist. He was an optimist. At least that was what he told himself when the darker thoughts creeped into his psyche as he stared at the ceiling in the middle of the night. Whenever he started down the rabbit hole, he always clawed his way back into the sunlight.

Story
When a series of devastating terror attacks brought down the United States, Conor and Barb assumed they were safe in their compound. They had everything they needed. They were armed and highly trained. But then, Barb was kidnapped. The kidnappers didn’t know why Conor was known as The Mad Mick. They didn’t know the fear and respect his name invoked in the shadowy underworld of covert operations. They didn’t know that when it came to protecting his family, he was without conscience, without compassion, and without equal. But they would soon find out.

Mason Lot is in-house counsel for Poseidon, a major Wall Street firm that serves as a front company for the National Security State. His job pays well and gives him insight into the corrupt shadow government, but it can't help with his problems at home. Mason assumed that the hefty price tag for his daughter’s private school would buy him a pass from the insanity plaguing New York’s public school system. Nevertheless, indoctrinated by propaganda, Wynter wants to transition into being a boy. When Mason refuses to pay for the procedure, Wynter turns to the state for help.

Publisher's summary
The eleventh installment in the bestselling series about a former contract assassin navigating the apocalypse with humor, charm, and explosive violence.
Deep in the mountains of West Virginia, Conor and his team are sheltering at the Banks Compound, desperate for some way to regain the momentum that billionaire Walter Lightspeed brought to the country. They’d been so close to recovery and now salvation slipped further away with each passing moment.
Desperate for a ray of hope amidst their grim reality, the team launches a mission to find someone who might be able to bring new energy to the national recovery effort. Someone America knows and respects. Someone who clawed their way up from poverty to build an empire. Someone plainspoken and unquestionably patriotic.
Yet even as the team attempts to kindle the flames of hope, forces beyond their control conspire against them and set in motion an event that will forever change this tight group of friends, family, and colleagues.

Franklin Horton does it again
This series just keeps getting better and better. America Falls by Scott Medbury was my Favorite until the Mad Mick came along. Best Post Apocalyptic series I've ever read

Great story!
Oh man this was fantastic! I knew this book #11 was going to be great but I saw that it was 11 out of 11. Does that mean no book 12? Maybe next year there will be another, Please ?
Regardless, Mr. Horton knocked it out of the park with Mad Mick 11 ! And Kevin did great as expected narrating the story!
Thank You for the hard work and dedication to bring us this story.

the story
Great story! I have read The borrowed world series and the mad Mick series loved them both. I can't wait for The Mad Mick book 12.
