I Wish it Were Longer - Loving!!

I’m actually a bit sad about the ending, though the hea is great. These characters become very real to you as you listen. You feel them, and either love or hate them. Great series with fantastic narration. I highly recommend.

Loved seeing how it all works out!

Honed in Havoc is the conclusion to the Corrupt Credence series. With this final installment, we have everything from the previous books wrapped up. I loved the relationship between Nox, Lucian and Nova and that we get to see them finally altogether and everything resolved in the end, but I would have loved to see more interactions occur between Nox, Lucian and Nova with the world outside of them. I love books set in academy, high school or college settings because I love watching them interaction with others and we had a lot of that with the first two books, but almost none of it in this final one. That being said Lucian and Nox are great with Nova - all the scenes we get with them being possessive, protective and caretaking over her were fabulous.

The audio narration was fantastic, as it was with the previous installments. I definitely wouldn't mind listening to more stories with these narrators - they did an excellent job making Nox, Lucian and Nova come to life. I especially love duet narration, it really adds to the experience!

The character narration is great!

I loved reading this story so listening to it I knew what was coming. But having these narrators gave it a whole different feel. Lucian’s gravely voice was perfect!

Delicious duet narration

Book 3 - Finally on audio! I loved the book and couldn’t wait to listen.
First part of this review is about the narrators. Second part will be about the story.
This is a duet narration. Brooke narrators all female speaking parts, regardless of the chapter’s POV. Corvin narrates all men speaking parts even on Nova’s chapters. Both narrators are delicious sounding, great acting. Honestly, listening to this after reading it was chef’s kiss! I think Corvin is in my top male narrators now, just from these audiobooks.

In terms of story - Albany has us picking right up, and I can’t help but feel so bad for Nova. She’s been through so much in her life, I just want to see her be happy (spoilers, by the end, she totally is, it’s worth it). I love that we really see how morally grey Lucian is in this book - he is willing to do or say anything to be with our girl Nova. Nox is still the level headed rock keeping everyone together. The character growth has been great, Nova is definitely stronger because of everything she’s been through, and she’s willing to fight for what she wants and what she thinks is right. Along with the conclusion to the story arc (no spoilers, but I like the wrap up), we get some good scenes of them together, and some memorable quotes…growled by Corvin, so so worth it.

I really enjoyed this book and think you will too, definitely give it a try - but start from book 1!

I absolutely look forward to anytime Albany Walker releases a book because I know the audiobook will be amazing. these authors completely owned these characters and this was an amazing end to another amazing series.

This book was such a great story and the narration was amazing 🤩 the two did a perfect job! Can’t wait for more from them.

Wish it didn't end

I loved this book and series, but wish it weren't over and this book was longer because I need more of them.

Stunning conclusion!

Breathtaking and nail-biting! I was completely on the edge of my seat through this entire book! It had more twists and turns and deception than following David Bowie through the Labyrinth! I'm pretty sure my heart, at one point, was double its normal rate!

After Nova gets pulled onto the boat and into the Umbra estate, will Nox and Lucian be able to strike a deal to get her back? Or will she be forced to endure Rory and his wife's reign of terror?

Things I loved about this book
-The narrators, they did a fabulous job with this audiobook, and brought the characters to life!
-The MFM bullies to lovers relationship, and the development of them as couples and as a trio. Other MFM books lack that couple dynamic.
-The suspense, the mystery, the intrigue.

On the flip side, things I didn't love
-What was the point of the secret society? It only sort of pushed the plot forward in some places. We never find out the purpose of the society, and we never really hear about the origins.
-The entirely too strange island with the super creepy college with only the 4 families? How do they expect them to NOT cross contaminate each family tree?! And it seems like a HUGE college (the way it is described) for 4 families and some others from the mainland.
-Walker's complete inability to end a series. Any series. Every series. It is just her way. Guess we should just be used to it by now!!

Smooth like velvet

These are two of my favorite narrators along with my favorite author is a recipe for perfection!
