Just ok

It was ok. The sex scenes were a bit much and took away from the story. Story line was basically boring. There was no action except for the mature content.

Hot

As with all Albany Walker books this does not disappoint. Lots of hot scenes and perfect for anyone who likes a tough and rugged dominant male character. Good amount of story development too. Recommended.

Pretty good.

This was a pretty standard story. Formulaic, for sure. Overall an easy read, but be warned: you can see the plot twist coming a mile away.

What I loved I loved what I didn't I really didn't

Overall I enjoyed the book. I've read others by her and enjoyed them as well. Main complaints the antagonist was fairly easy to see though I admit I second guessed it a few times. The ruse (don't want to give spoilers) was to me thrown it kind of lazy and half thought out. It started out strong and then kinda eh went to very watered down filler. Hated and loved the male lead. he seemed very controlling and down right mean at times BUT the dynamic between the leads was 100% different than anything I've heard before and a fresh breath of air on that one. Through I felt his overall growth was lacking. Just a side note I thought so many times that Sophia at her age was so mature then it hit me as to why and I loved how I got so lost in the story I forgot the why and was reminded through out just from actions and tone vs outright writing in an explanation over and over. there were twists and times I was left stunned at the direction which as those who read/listen alot you know is hard not to see a story pattern. I could go on discussing but this is already too long just get it. I would recommend this book as well as her two book series Friends with the monsters and the second Some kind of monster.

Good story, love the female voice

Love the female voice. Have purchased others with her narration and she gives a great performance of the character as an individual different in each book. The male voice is good but not great. Sometimes over the top with a growling word that just made me laugh. But I still enjoyed the story and flow of the action backed turns in each chapter. Love this author.

Unexpected Enjoyment

I have got to say, this is one of the better romance novels out there. The female lead had depth to her and she wasn't some push over Mary Sue that always accompanies romances such as these. I did notice a lot of people seem to dislike the Male lead, but I find him charming. Realistic if anything. Men aren't perfect, some are jerks and dense as rocks like he is here. I find it refreshing to have an idiot for a male lead instead of a man whose only goal is to bow down and be a perfect little puppy for the woman. He dominates, he tries to control her but finds he can't. He isn't forcing anything on her, and he isn't bending over backwards to please her either. Good realism based in an anger issue male. I can't wait to see more from this universe. I hope to see a sequil.

this book was really good. very enjoyable lost of drama. but there is still so much that was left out. i think there should be more books about this pack. must read.
