Interesting but

Sylvie got on my last nerve. Running wasn’t the only problem she had. Liked the way the children were integrated into the storyline. The narrators did a good job; glad Elle read with Jamaican dialect slowly enough to understand.

Amazing

Absolutely amazing this story was really well written and the performance from the narrators was outstanding. Great job all round.

Realistic touches

As someone who migrated to Arkansas, I can appreciate this story. It is fiction but it’s written so that the setting is sometimes believable. Mostly it’s a love story. Sylvia and Holt deserve the kind of love they find in each other. The struggle to get there is real, but get there they do.

idk why other reviewers critized the narrator, because she did an outstanding job! it's not easy to do all the different female and male voices she did, but sis killed it! Love the story line-- so full of tenderness, hot sex, and rejection to redemption! Another win by TT

Awesome choice in narrators…. Spot on with the Jamaican accent! Haven’t enjoyed a book this much in a while!

I have read and listened to lots of books, but Theodora, sister girl, that narrator got the Jamaican accent downnnnnn! I'm Jamaican and hate listening to authors try to speak "Jamaican." When a person speaks patois 'patwa' in these stories, I cringe 😬 but Elle Cleviden sounds like she knows our dialect. Living in the US for over 30 years, I still haven't lost my accent. I read "Holt" years ago but decided to listen to the audio book while driving to work, and it was a treat. Even though Silvie was a weak Jamaican character, the book was entertaining. Elle is now one of my fave narrators!! she was acting honey! I love her scenes and her emotions that come through are amazing! I loved the story too.
