good story

I love the whole story i need more. I did not like the female voice. she sounded congested and masculine. she sometimes mixed up her voice and his voice. but the story was so good i just kept listening and enjoying.

Love the story line

I do not like Emily’s voice in book 1 it’s too flat and sounds more like a 30-40 year old

A Great Listen..with the exception of

The story in The Lion and Mouse Series is compelling, with a captivating plot that keeps you hooked from start to finish. The male narrator is excellent—he truly brings the characters to life with his dynamic voice and perfect tone. However, the female narrator was a bit disappointing. Her voice feels out of place for a 21-year-old woman from Harlem; she sounds closer to 40, and her tone comes across as too congested and lacking the youthful, authentic energy you'd expect. It was hard to fully connect with her character because of this mismatch. Overall, it's a great listen, but the choice of female narrator took away from the immersion.

Who knew Whoopi Goldberg did audio

This series is absolutely enthralling. 1-3 actually included 3.5 so you really get four stories. The writing is top tier. It flowed and was very descriptive. If you like blazing sex scenes, you will love these stories. Some times I get tired of love scenes but not between the Lion and Emily. Whew chile it was very satisfying. The story had such great details. My only issue was the narrator. The male did a great Russian and female voice. The female sounded like Whoopi Goldberg. Emily is supposed to be in her early 20’s, but sounds like a 60 year old smoker with a cold especially in Book 3. I can’t wait to listen to the next stories in this series. Kazimir is strong, sexy and down right poetic. Him and Emily are quickly becoming my favorite couple. Narrator be damned, get this story!!!

Good grief

I read this book so I decided to purchase it. Well I got it free with the credit. The female narrator sounds old and like she smoke cigarettes that’s all I’m gonna say about that. I wish they would vet these narrators. This narrator and lacy Laurel does not need to be used again, and also narrators, especially female narrators need to be the race of the character. The book is good though. So I won’t be purchasing the audible for the rest of this series because they switched to Lacey Laurel and I cannot listen to anything she narrates.

Took me going back and listen to
first chapters but once I got a grip on characters and scenes I was hooked.
It's a book where you feel like you know characters. I loved it. Just enough sexy, humor, mystery and charm.

Sexy, dangerous, interracial, brilliant couple

I loved the storyline, even the sub storylines. The mash-up of two very different cultures fighting for their lives. The characters were well-developed and believable. Providing this story as a box set was genius.

What a series!!

The twist and turns ! Murder and espionage with Black girl magic and a layered hot Russian. I’m addicted!! It’s an intense love story of anti-hero’s from 2 different worlds but kindred spirits.
The author has created a fantastic underworld white hit sexuality. The narrators are doing a fantastic job especially the male narrator.

Great story for books 1-3 ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I could have finished the series, BUT. For some reason the narration changed from Ellis Evans and Shari Peele to the WORST narrator's LACY LAUREL and TRISTAN JOSIAH of all, both voices are HORRIBLE, they both have irritating voices, WHY? I think she's trying to sound sexy, and his voices is off putting he drags his voices, both is like nails on a chalkboard. They ruin the rest of the series and story line. Kenya Wright, next time listen to the finish product before you allow any of us to hear it. Like I said these 3 books in the first series is fantastic both Ellis Evans and Shari Peele did justice on the story line and the characters drew my attention immediately. I was so into this story all the twist and turns, drama, action, suspense the sexy way both describe each other was going to be epic but when I went to the next 4-8 audiobook's, seen that the rest of the series was narrated by LACY LAUREL and TRISTIAN JOISH I was so disappointed, and it was a total blow. I returned book 4 and refuse to listen to the next 4-8 because of the change. I am a fan but this decision to change direction on the NARRATION with the other books in this series just SUCKS!!!!!!!

Bland voice

Story was that of a descriptive over-thinker, which made it drag on. The reader had a very bland voice with no feeling or emotion which made it hard to depict a mood.
