An excellent follow-up to the first story.

One of my favorite things about this series so far is it doesn't take itself too seriously. The author does a good job of injecting levity in most of the situations while not losing the nature of the encounter. The main character sets his goals in the first book and is attempting to accomplish them as quickly as possible and that continues in the second book. The narrators do an excellent job and have a good range of voices. I am very much looking forward to the next book.

Loved book 1

I received a free code in exchange for an honest review, I listened to book 1 , not too long ago. This story does have some spice, and the MC always talks about when he builds his castle, but never shows any castle building expertise lol. as he progresses through the book, you feel him start showing who he really is and what his desire drives him to do. All in all, a very fun read if you're into shameless pursuit of your inner most desires and doing the dark deeds that need doing.

Man this guy doesn’t know the word quit. The carefree attitude is pretty badass, got a little scary there for a bit but he came thru it with confidence

an op mc without being op

This story is another great entry in the series. the mc is well written and op without being broken. the mask makes him powerful but because he isn't a monster that op power is kept in check.

Micky was able to craft an excellent story that perfectly blended action and spice with fantasy politics.

Okay, so the series is still a lot fun and entertaining. However, it feels rushed. But that is the issue with trilogies. They just aren’t long enough. But I don’t believe this is enough to take away anything from my rating for it.

The narrators are enjoyable and give a great performance. They are in harmony enough to make me wonder if they recorded together in the same room…
