Good read

I loved the first book of Sara and Darius! So I was thrilled to see the second. From the beginning I felt like I was back with a good friend. I love the romance and mystery that Ms Afshar intertwines with biblical setting. I loved this story!

alright

I was frustrated with the Darius character. He was very hard to like and root for. I understand his inner pain and traumatic childhood lead to his actions, but his animosity for his wife was sometimes hard to bear. the lack of understanding for her was frustrating but that could be seen as part of the Persian astrocracy. Sometimes Sara's personality was difficult to enjoy too. i wish she had a backbone sometimes that conflict would have been good to see instead of him hurting her feelings all the time.it was a good book but I do wish the personalities were different.

Great Biblical Character story

I truly love how she brings Biblical times to life for the readers. She has a way of showing even though we are separated by many many years, we are not so far removed from those characters in the daily struggles they endured. We struggle with political social familial issues just as they did.

Please Don't End

I loved the complex characters who grew through difficult situations. The story had it all: romance, mystery and humor. Please offer another novel with Roxanna therapy and her new love.

Great story & performance

Book 2 didn’t disappoint. I loved learning about the historical characters, challenges, & dreams. Plus it’s not too heavy on the religious references.

Biblical, historical, heartwarming

These are two of the best books I’ve ever read. Are there names and places difficult? For an English speaker, yes. Does it change the depth of the love or the intrigue of the story? No!

What Happened to Laural Merlington??!!

This remains one of my favorite stories. I have listened to it and Harvest of Rubies a thousand times and have loved every moment of it. However, this narrator was horrible in comparison to Laural Merlington. I don't know what happen to cause the change, but Laural brought the story and characters alive. She made it funny and interesting. I was very disappointed listening to this version and likely won't listen again. Tessa, PLEASE don't change the narrator for Harvest of Rubies! It would be tragic!

A great read

I was so happy to read this sequel. Looking forward to reading more of this author’s books
