Great read with vivid details

A good fictional story of Priscilla and Aquila. Really liked this read! Worth the time.

Interesting, but not as good as the author’s other books.

There premise for this idea was intriguing, and I did enjoy many aspects of this book. I’m a huge Tessa Afshar fan, but I was disappointed in this book. It read a little too much like a romance novel, and it got a little too graphic for my personal taste. I would say the romance scenes in this book were more descriptive than her other books. Also I found Aquila’s character a little trite, and very typical of the male in a romance novel- saying all the things a woman would supposedly want to hear, but it didn’t really ring true to the period in which it was written. I suppose it’s entirely possible Aquila would have said those things, we really have no way of knowing, but I sincerely doubt it.
It was a good listen, but I wouldn’t buy a hard copy of this one.

Amazing

This is an amazing story about God’s love and learning how to forgive yourself. About being the better person no matter what others do to you. Finding that inner peace by having faith in God and sharing that faith with others

Interesting

I learned about Bible characters of things I did not know... interesting...I will listen to it again later in my time of enjoying a book with historical Bible times...

Great story, terrible narration.

I really wish a different narrator had been picked for this book. It was HARD to listen to but I preserved because I love Tessa Afshar’s book. I dreaded that voice though!

The Bible + Romance = PERFECTION

Who ever thought you could get amazing romance novels out of the Bible? I sure didn't but Tessa Afshar is a master. Priscilla is barely mentioned in the Bible and this story of what her life could have looked like is breathtaking. Worth the listen!

Enjoyed the story

Enjoyed the story of two people I have always been interested in hearing about. Fun to think of their lives as they worked along side Paul.
