I’ll pick up pretty much anything narrated by Andrew Wehrlen. Love his work. This being a post apocalyptic book was just a bonus. Loved the stories. Great book.

Great narrator; confusing book

There was just too much jumping back and forth between the numerous characters in this book that I couldn't keep track of who was where and who was with who. Mr. Wehrlen is a superb narrator! The book certainly wasn't bad but I don't like having to go back to re-listen to previous chapters in order to ascertain what is going on in a book.

Woohoo Texas

Sydney is my favorite..... forgot about Ram until he was talked about towards the end of the novel. Lots of characters..... tried to keep them straight....
The story is amazing. Really interested in how everything will turn out.
Will there be a cure or vaccine? What will happen in the camps? Where will our mercenaries end up. Who will survive because it’s obvious no one is safe. Already started book 2! Yeah more Sydney. (Guess that’s a tiny spoiler, yes she makes it)
Andrew did an excellent job with narration but that’s to be expected, he’s amazing!

Excellent book, love the collaboration

This was a fantastic zombie apocalypse story. I like Andrew Wehrlen as a narrator and he did a good job of enriching the story with his voice. I really enjoyed the stories and loved the collaboration between these authors. That they are all headed to Texas, is just a fun bonus (because, well, I'm a Texan). Anyway, I'd love more from this collective.

Five first-rate to deliver one great!

We follow five groups of apocalypse survivors as they make their way to Texas and perceived safety. That’s the basis of the story, but the characters are what set this tale apart. Five groups of survivors we come to know fairly well, each from a different part of the country, each unique in their backgrounds, strengths, and weaknesses. We also benefit from five first-rate authors contributing to deliver one exceptional story. I enjoyed the tale and look forward to After the Roads and perhaps For Which We Stand; further accounts in the tale. Good story

Clipped tone of the narration is very hard to follow.

Story is good. Moving on to the next books because I don’t feel like I’ve heard enough of each story to judge.

Excellent

Excellent book. The book is gritty, funny, with a lot of twists and action. I am a fan of a few of these authors. They did not let me down on this book. I particularly enjoyed multiple journeys to Texas aspect of the book. It was enough to see how different people in the book faced their own hardships. The narrator did a excellent job!! I was enthralled by the book and narration.

A-MAZING!

I've been obsessed with post-apocalyptic/zombie books lately, and was so glad to add this to my collection!! GREAT BOOK!! Crazy intense, action packed, great characters, loved the story, and narration was AWESOME! With multiple authors involved, I thought the story(ies) blended very well, and really made this something special. Loved it!! Highly recommended :) Get it! :)

Read the first chapter and you'll be hooked!

I was laughing so hard at the first chapter. It could quite possibly be the very best start to a book that I've ever seen; it's pure genius! It's certainly the best story collaboration ever!! Each part of the story runs seamlessly into the next, creating a complex storyline that does the apocalyptic genre proud. I'm not the biggest fan of zombie stories, but this one doesn't focus as much on the gross aspect of them, but rather more on the characters trying to survive. I'm listening to this series on Audible and have been loving every minute. This is way better than spending same amount on movie ticket.
