About this listen

A bomb shatters the midnight silence, giving Mark and Kate only seconds to escape before their sailboat turns into a flaming hell. At the same time, a wrecking crew batters down the wall of their shop to steal a crucial tool the CIA needs to prevent a neo-Nazi takeover in Eastern Europe. Only a bump in the night kept their first overnight sail from being their last.

Finding Pegasus is the story of an international criminal network marching in lockstep with the neo-Nazi autocrats of Eastern Europe, a paranoid, egocentric American navy admiral, an old and bitter Silicon Valley billionaire, and a retired Hungarian spy who moved to Paris because the food was better.

It should have been a perfect crime - witnesses dead, evidence spirited away, police not interested. But Eddie Grant helps Mark McGinley and Kate Hall follow the clues from Biscayne Bay to Paris, then on to the mountains of Hungary. There, the caves hide explosive secrets, and the group must confront a new generation of storm troopers, this time supported by the Russian bear. The second escape is as close as the first.

Fast paced + well written international espionage

Finding Pegasus, Book 3 in the Eddie Grand Series by John Pearce is a really well written and fast-paced novel of international espionage. This story is so full of action and really grabs your attention and pulls you in. The story of Pegasus and Icarus, a sub and a drone that are stolen and can essentially be used as a WMD, Mark, Kate, Eddie and a unique crew of other players are on a mission to find the stolen items and get them back before the you-know-what hits the fan. At the same time, there are characters that aren't quite what they seem. Overall, it's just an entertaining, well-written story and if the summary sounds good to you, I think you'll enjoy the book.

Adam Barr did an exceptional job narrating this story. He voiced such an array of different characters with various voices and accents and nailed them all. I would definitely listen to a book narrated by him again, no question. Really, really great narration. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher for an honest review. Did you find this review helpful? Awesome Twists!

I have been on an action listening streak, and Finding Pegasus answered that need. John Pearce wrote a great standalone book that is part of a series. I loved the imagery in this book. The twists and turns added so much. Adam Barr did a great performance with his distinguished voices for various characters. This book has international crime, exotic locations, some great characters and some dubious ones. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Much better!

The new narrator ads a lot to this book with his educated accents and delivery.

Fantastic book, I really enjoyed it

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I want to start my review with the caveat that I have not read/listened to the first 2 books in this series. That being said, I was pleaseantly surprised to find that I was not completely lost. In fact, I thought it stood alone quite well. The narration is well done and kept my attention throughout. The story is full of action and suspense. I enjoyed it enough that I am quite tempted to go back and listen to the first 2 books of the series.

Action-filled Story

Finding Pegasus is an action-filled book written with great and informative details. John Pearce's story was perfectly matched with a highly commendable performance by Adam Barr.

Mark and Kate - the genuises behind Pegasus - almost died in an explosion the very same night their creation was stolen. In their attempt to find and retrieve it, they faced another attempt at their lives and successfully - though barely - escaped it.

The story takes its readers/listeners into a thrilling and suspenseful adventure - from the US to Paris and across Europe - because Finding Pegasus is urgent!
