Makes Me Happy

I found a tremendous amount of warmth and joy listening to this audiobook. This is great to listen to, especially during the holidays, because we often look for joy and happiness during that time frame. You can hunt the good stuff not just while listening but afterward. Nobody will take better care of you than you, and getting this audiobook is one of the best ways to take care of yourself.

Reunite with your happy self

I could identify with this author in her touching story of hard times. Sometimes, when you cry for months and feel depressed, you can't see how you will ever feel happy again, but you can do just that by looking inside yourself- not by reaching outside yourself. This book presents practical ways in which you can learn the correct mindset to work towards happiness again. You can learn to love yourself, faults and all, and not look to others for approval. You can learn to give yourself permission to be "weird" or unique. Everyone is! You can learn to do the things that give you joy without feeling guilty. You can learn to stop wallowing in your self-pity and develop an optimistic mindset which will help you through the rough times. "We are only happy when we are growing", so read this book and be happy! Great read!

Great content on being happy!

I get carried away with work and stressed out a lot. This audiobook really helped me achieve some true happiness and made me a better person. Sometimes it just takes some simple unlocking of the inner self to be happy.

Strong lesson on taking control of your happiness

The author does a good job of telling her story and establishing credibility. All of the points made in the book are real life told by someone just like you and just like me - with lessons learned about how to stand back up and take back the happiness you deserve in life.

The narration is spot on and perfect, what a great choice by the author in a voice actor.

Embracing happiness and taking charge of your life is the key to discovering a fulfilling existence. It involves a conscious decision to break free from the shackles of doubt and insecurity, and instead, to cultivate a mindset centered on joy and self-empowerment.

Choosing happiness is not a passive endeavor; it requires an active engagement with life's opportunities and challenges.

It involves acknowledging that while external circumstances may be beyond our control, our reactions and choices are within our grasp.

HAPPY YOU OVER ANTHING!!

Learning that happiness is a decision backed by action gives me hope and resonates with my own experiences. Wow! You CAN Be Happy!

I loved this book! I've read a lot of "be happy" and "self help" type books and this one was really great. There is also a workbook available separately, which is great, too! I love that this book is written by someone who has truly lived what they write about. The personal stories were inspiring and amazing. It's a well written book (a relief to see a book written by an actual person - not AI) and it was a joy to listen to this book. There are so many pointers and suggestions for finding happiness, changing your thinking to be more positive, etc. It's a great read for anyone who wants to be happier and see the positive side of life. I highly recommend this book!
