About this listen

Gods, fallen angels, and the hidden world of the Fae clash as the Winter Queen begins a civil war with the Summer Queen, seeking to rule in a world of permanent winter. Fallen angel Azazel and Greek god Hermes join the Winter Queen, stealing the power of the Titans through brutal combat in return for the resurrection of Azazel's demi-god children, the Nephilim. Shemyaza, another fallen angel, fights for the Summer Queen with reluctant assistance from the Greek goddess Hecate, forcing her to help him by possessing the body of her lover.

Through modern city streets and pristine forests of the spirit world, battle rages as the forces of Winter seek to dominate the people of Summer in this thrilling and violent mythpunk adventure.

A Fae War..

Any additional comments?

This was a decent action packed story with the theme of Summer versus Winter.

The story line covered just about everything from Fallen Angels, Strong Queens, and Greek Mythology.

S. J. Tucker did really well with the narration.

Fast paced modern fantasy

Any additional comments?

This is a fast paced story with mixed pantheons. The narration is really good. The story moves along and the fight scene are plentiful. Some of the old gods don't pack much of a punch, but someone has to die I guess. At times I kind of felt this was more of a nod to American Gods, without the mystery. Good listen.

Myth Twist

I enjoyed that I got to visit with many of may favorite Greek gods/goddesses. For me, the story fell a bit flat though. I felt as though I was living in an ADHD person's head, continually jumping around. It was also a bit predictable for me.

Fantastic story

For those who love the history of the world. Demi gods , Fay and the whole fantasy world this is a pretty good story. It is graphic and full of violence so not a bedtime story for sure. Not for the faint of heart either. I received this book at no charge in exchange for an honest review.
