About this listen

The Blood Angels Chapter of Space Marines is under threat. Having obliterated all human life in the Red Scar region of space, the largest tendril of Hivefleet Leviathan ever seen in the Imperium has converged and is making relentlessly for Baal.

To face this awesome foe, Commander Dante has called upon the Successor Chapters of the ancient Ninth Legion. The Sons of Sanguinius gather in numbers not seen since the dark days of the Horus Heresy. Thirty thousand Space Marines stand ready to thwart the Great Devourer, save the homeworld of their primarch, and prevent the consumption of billions in the Ultima Segmentum beyond.

But the tyranid swarm numbers in the trillions, and they are not the only danger to the chapter’s future. As the galaxy slides toward a terrifying new era, events far away threaten to unleash a greater evil. A further enemy must also be overcome, that of the Black Rage that lurks in the souls of all Sanguinius’ bloodline.

Last chapter missing. Will change score if fixed.

As others have said, the final chapter and credits are both missing. I would really love to recommend this book and wish to rate it highly, but at time of writing, the product sold is currently incomplete.

A lot of build up to a satisfying conclusion

If you’re a Blood Angels fan, this is a must read. Commander Dante takes center stage in this story but he is far from the only noteworthy character. I won’t spoil anything but it is a solid story with a great ending. My main complaint is the reader has a bit of a grading voice and his pronunciation of some words as well as his choices to distinguish characters (most notably Mephiston) pull me out of the story from time-to-time. Otherwise, really good experience! 4/5, would recommend.

great book/Mumbling space marines.

why this narrator makes the space marines sound like sean connery with a mouthful of marbles is beyond me. Or they sound like 90 year olds. other than that great book, awesome story. but I would read.

Baal is only the start!

Warhammer 40k is taking a great turn with all that's happening in the lore and this book has renewed my interest in diving into the new lore. Must listen to when getting started next to Dark Imperium and the Fall of Cadia. Highly recommend.

A story that's a must read/ lessen.

It is a grand climax years in the making with the Angels of Sanguinius in their darkest hour facing insurmountable odds against a massive hive fleet coming to consume them. The story shows multiple perspectives with all of them getting their chance to shine. From civilians turn conscripts, champions of the Angels, an alien drone, to Commander Dante himself. It feels like an end of an era with the old guard ready to go out in a blaze of glory in which the Emperor would be proud of. Great 40k Novel.

Great Story!

Really a great story! Only drawback is the narration making half the space marines sounds like they are Gandalf....

The lore alone makes this a great listen. The story delivers on most levels and really gives fantastic insight into the Sons of Sanguinius! I smell another Primarch returning...

Great read

The book was very good. The only thing I would suggest is that Black Library use women to voice female characters, lol. Hearing Guy immitate a woman's voice is....cringy.
