About this listen

Darius has enjoyed a nice break from an action packed integration into the GGA. With Earth in limbo, and a lost colony likely in need of help, he knows his vacation is on borrowed time. He owes the Merchant Marines, Pavia, and humanity itself to do more, to be more.

So when life is turned upside down again, he ventures back into the stars, helping those he can, when he can. The adventure is intense, his family bonds are tight, and the dangers ever-present.

And yet, Darius isn't afraid to take his ships to the red-line in the name of victory!

Space Opera

This book picks off great from where the first stopped. Love Han Yang's writing and this space opera. It is a good break from the typical genre I read. Looking forward to the next.

Even better than the first!

I am beyond excited that this series is continuing to grow! The first book was a lot of fun and I sent a message to the author hoping that he would continue adding to it! I am thankful that Angel was brought in and continue to add more adventures to Darius and his growing family.
There are several new adventures for us to enjoy throughout this book which is something I enjoy. Instead of one very long and drawn out single mission/operation… Darius doesn’t just stick to being a StarFighter pilot, he finds himself fulfilling several roles. His relationship with Natasha grows deeper throughout the story as they experience both peace and action. We also get some amazing scenes of sci-fi style military combat in multiple theaters and with several forms. From starfighter to capital ships. From planetary engagement to station control. We get some great nuances. I don’t want to give away too much more and stop with my recommendations to try this series if you haven’t. Or returning if you have already gone through the first. I am VERY excited for the third one!

I enjoyed the experience that the authors brought together for us. The same with the narrators!

another home run

an awesome extension to the story where the MC despite his best effort can't stop some bad things from happening. however he doesn't stop trying to do as much as he can instead of just looking out for himself and interests

Loved it

All I can say is that Han Yang and Michael Angel did it again. They kept the sequel paced fast enough to keep your interest but not so fast that the story gets lost or sloppy. Matt Hicks and Allie Piper did their thing once again and delivered a stellar performance. I just hope we can get book 3 faster than we got book 2. When a book is this good, I don't mind being THAT Guy.

I enjoyed the hell out of it

right up front I'll simply say that I recommend this book to anybody reading this review. the narrators did a fantastic job with their performance and I look forward to more than their work. I find it interesting that another author is come in to help continue the series. past experience has only seen that happen when an author has passed. I'm glad that that's not the case here and I'm glad to see the series continue. it was my understanding that originally this was supposed to be a one-off book and now there are four in total as of the time of this review. the first three have been given the audio treatment. power main character is back to his fantastic flying while trying to do right by Humanity. we do have some bad guy little blue aliens who make off with Jupiter which causes no end in trouble for the first place of humanity. now our hero in his friends need to work to get hit back while trying to help out the home team. lastly I'll simply say Well done to everybody who had a hand and bringing this book to us, the audiobook listeners.
