He's got 99 problems, and an extra time loop ain't one....

The world is devolving into chaos as a game-like system has reduced the population to a series of statistics and screens.

Confusion reigns as everyone struggles to survive in this new reality. Everyone but one man. Anthony Franklin has a secret. One that gives him an edge. He has lived through this exact series of events...99 times in a row.

Anthony needs to take advantage of all he accomplished over his past runs—every play, shortcut, and strategy—to save as many lives as possible by the end. He must contend with vicious boss monsters, elude the oppressive surveillance eyes of the system administrators, and watch his back when dealing with the scheming players who want the game to go their way no matter the cost.

In a world where every individual has their own goals, dreams, and fears, shepherding them won't be easy. Anthony must use all of his considerable experience to gain a powerful class, put the frightened populace on the right track, and take out threats before they become too big. There will be no more chances; win or lose, his 100th run shall be his last.

I found that I generally enjoy reading time loop storylines. And 100th Run is no exception. This is the story of Anthony and his 100th attempt at saving as many humans as possible when earth is taken over by a system. A system that is run by chaos and placed there solely to entertain the watcher's that thrive on seeing people struggle and die! Anthony struggle is real and good. He doesn't want power or wealth, he just wants the human race to live while giving the system his middle finger in the process. Hopefully he can do it without getting caught. Otherwise everything he's done up till now, is for naught.
I've never heard Daniel Thomas May before, take it from me, he's great.

Here's a quote that amused me:

"None of 'em matched. So you half'a look like a box of crayons barfed on you."

I love time loop storylines!

I'm not exactly sure what I didn't like about this, but I'm not going to be continuing it. I've listened to several other similar ones, but this one did not grab me.

Okay, I usually like these kinds of stories better

The MC is overly sentimental and self-compromising. He will look for reasons to feel bad. And it just seems off for someone who’s had all those experiences to be so inexperienced in managing their emotions. It is that thing where the author constantly wants to show how much of a nice/good guy he is. It just takes something away from the story and character for me.

Pointless speed bumps

I really enjoyed this one! The premise of a time loop is very intriguing! I like the main character and his semi ocd for his stat numbers and wanting things to be aesthetically pleasing. Some minor spoilers ahead. Going through a time loop 99 times with some lasting years and not losing the memory of it. His mental age has got to be counted in centuries. That would mess someone up in the head. Especially with everything he has to do to save as many people as he can. And you can see that in the way he interacts with people and how he talks out loud to himself. I like the idea of a mc not being all there or having to struggle. Makes them more relatable.
Also. Is it a dog? I need to know.
Would recommend this book to a friend, and already have.

Great book!

This was interesting. Are main character. Repeat that the same time. Over and over again. To get stronger. He finally chose to be a villain so that another person would be a hero and save more lives. . I like where the story going.
And I can't wait to find out what happened next.

Becoming a villain to save

As the title states I'm a sucker for time loops and that's why I picked this book up. I'm glad I did it's a good book, great narration too. Only complaint is the author should've done the full scenario in one book, it felt incomplete and should have been longer. Will pick up the next book and read again

I very much enjoyed listening to this book. The concept of just following the regressor's final run works really well, and the overall mwchanics are fairly well balanced to make him stronger bit not so much so that there is no true conflict. I love that even the first couple things the MC tries to do go awry because he is different, knowing this is hisnlast run.

The narration was excellent and really brought the characters to life. I will definitely be getting the next book when it comes out.

Great spin on the regressor trope!

As fun of a post-apocalyptic litrpg nerd candy as they come. Keep em coming please.

It’s good one thing the author does particularly well is imagery with furniture and non human anatomy

Book deserved a higher rating it’s not a 4.8 but at least a 4.7 or 4.6

I loved this book! It had a lot of the elements that I enjoy out of a regression novel. There was an OP MC, a cool magic system and a fast moving, high intensity plot. The narrator did a s good job too. Can’t wait for the next book!

Loved it
