Fabulous Story

This is the first I have read/listened to from this author. The story is absolutely fabulous. Just enough descriptions to give great visual images but not so much to bog down the story into boringness. The characters are easy to envision and either love or hate, the storyline is entertaining, gripping at times, endearing at others, and just enough spice to heat things up without going over the top, it brings all the feels. The voice actors do a fabulous job, The female actor is great, she brings emotion to the character without it coming across as whiny or warbly in the voice which too many actors rely on. She expresses strength of character through her voice without it coming across as witchy, truly she is fantastic. The best of all is that her voice tones are mellow, not grating in any way, just soothing to the ears making it pleasant to listen to. Too many female actors voices do not achieve this. This is very important as most of the story is told through the female character's pov. The male actor does a great job except that he does not change his voice to differentiate between the different male characters, and since there are 3 main male characters, it would have been good to have 3 different male actors because it is too easy to get lost as to who is speaking. But other than that he does a great job. It is easy to connect with the characters and feel for them. This first book in the series does end on a cliffhanger so be prepared for that. It is a fabulous story, one that I highly recommend. The author writes so engagingly that when I am finished with this series, I will definitely seek out more books by this author.

I love this book. I can’t wait for the second one I’m dying. It was so good and it ends with a cliffhanger.

Leaves you hanging in the worst way

The story ended in a horrible way. I wish I never read it. It’s a cliff hanger and while I understand they want you to read the next book, this one just left me upset and the second book doesn’t exist yet.
