This Scratched an itch

I have always thought what it would be like to reincarnate with my current memories. Would my memories make me overpowered? I sure hope so! This story is just that, an Overpowered MC that I daydream myself being.
I just finished the 3rd book and they are consistant. I would recommend to anyone who likes Overpowered MC's with a steady progression speed that doesnt contain a harem.

Main character progresses super fast

Narrator does a great job but makes the main character sound like he’s struggling to speak lol. Hard to judge characters age. Book makes him sound like a child but he has the mind of a man. Little confusing but still a great story. Can’t wait to start the next book.

Unfocused and Weird

The story is something I can only describe as slapdash. MC is 7, in a completely alien world in which the transition from normal kid into a novelty has his parents mom try to kill him. This is glossed over quickly, the town who thinks he's a monster forgotten, a mysterious stranger comes at the exact same time to be able to fix and obviate all the issues, even giving him resources he wouldn't have to get what he wants. MC is able to do tons of things for no really good reason, all centered around a magical system that sounds like it was created from an AI prompt.

It's coherent but man is it a fever dream of bad cliches and plot holes. Narrator is good but also uses an unfortunate accent for trying to sound like a 7 year old.

I enjoyed this book. it's different while also engaging. the mc, so far is on the right path

a lot of fun

the magic system and pacing is great. the story is solid. I like the narrator for everything except for the main characters voice unfortunately. it's not terrible or anything I just felt like the MC's tone came across as kinda whiny. it didn't stop me from enjoying the book and the narration though. just something I noticed and had to get over.

Excellent story imho

Looking forward to book 2. Could become my new favorite series if it keeps up the trend. Only critique would be, if the MC is OP, let him be OP. Don’t shackle him.

Interesting, but sloppy, story.

"A child shunned by the village will burn it down to feel it's warmth"... right?
Well not this one. Shunned, disowned, his own mother trying to kill him, persecuted by religious zealots for literally nothing, and kicked to the curb, Juron seems perfectly fine with just ignoring it? Despite gaining so much power that he outclasses the strongest person in his village (besides the new lord, and his master), he just kind of walks away from everything and there is no retribution or revenge or anything. And those religious zealots are going to continue killing any kids that have facial scars?
Also it is a very, how should I say it, frictionless story. Nothing really builds up to anything, vast portions easily slide right past without much to actually grasp on. However, the latter half is still quite a fun satisfying power fantasy.
Also, I don't like the way the author had him power level through all his skills the instant he used them. I'm not saying the skills ended up to powerful, no I am just saying that with that many skipped through tiers, "True Origin of Fire" should have been something he gains around tier 6 and would allow him to summon multiple miniature suns or something. Skipping so many tiers for the final product to just be a couple step higher doesn't make much sense.
Then we have the narrator. God he is awful. The halting, stuttering whimper he gives the MC, is so annoying. Also he never changes the character voice based on the context, so the MC yelling in a fight is spoken in the same stuttering whimper. Then, and this is the worst part, he doesn't do a separate "spoken" and "thought" voice, making it impossible to tell whether the character is thinking something or speaking out loud.
All in all, I liked the second half enough I think I will give the

The quality of the story

There was never a dull moment in the entire book.I never felt that the author was wasting time and always looked forward to more.

Rises above most of the LitRPG fantasy crowd

This book falls into the "MC brings modern knowledge to another world" category. There are several shows with this premise (especially in anime).

Very light spoilers to follow, so don't continue reading if you want to go in blind. There's an anime titled "Wise Man's Grandchild" where the magic system works very similarly. The magic system is conceptual - if you imagine fire, it will create some fire. But the main character's knowledge from earth gives him a huge advantage. He understands how fire works (fueled by oxygen), how electricity works (potential difference from electrons), This gives him a ridiculous advantage.
