Although the last chapter was ok, the previous few were hard-going. I almost didn't finish.

Not As Good ....

It was hard to finish this. Didn't like the different lojnts of view. Maybe writer should have done a short story from 'Whitey' angle, leaving this for Jack. The plot felt weak. SPOILER; I find it hard to believe that Jack couldn't figure out how to keep his enemy dead! He already knew at least two ways from a previous book. He also knew one personally! The sun! I also hate the open ending with it's promise of a future book. Since this was released at least ten years ago that is looking very doubtful!
