She fancies herself something of a saber-toothed tiger, and claims to have wrestled the thread of her ninth life from the hands of the Fates themselves\—although, I'm pretty sure that last part isn't true.

I'm still looking into the magical fine print, but in the meantime I'm stuck as the guardian to an snarky immortal cat with a nonexistent filter. Oh, and by another cruel twist of fate, my ex-husband just moved back into town. I thought I couldn't take any more, but when a murder rocks my small community, I wind up entangled in the investigation thanks to a handsome stranger.

Dagnabbit. I Need More.

I love Amanda Ronconi narrating anything, but paired with Danielle Garrett, it’s a sure fire treat. I was glad to be able to get a 3 book bundle for one credit. I am sad there are no bundles beyond this one, and each book hereafter costs a credit, which is precious. Even though I have a great need to find out about Lavender, I won’t be using a credit for the next book that is only five hours long.

Good writing, fun story, great narration. I wish the whodunit wasn’t so quickly and easily solved but no matter. I’m really here for the story that is unfolding through the series.

I love listening to Amanda Ronconi read. Building upon Me Garrett’s well thought out characters and story, the experience is well worth the time to listen. I highly recommend this series and reader!

I enjoyed this book. Love the banter between her and her familiar(cat). I will be buying the next book in the series.

Definitely a cute read. I thought it was going to be too childish for me but honestly, i absolutely love it! I was super into the magic inn series and felt kind of empty and yearning for more when i finished the last book. This popped up on my recommended listens and I realized it was by Danielle Garret and Amanda Ronconi was doing the audio, so i figured it was worth a try. Now I love it and I’m hooked!
