About this listen
The first week is in Torin's rear view, and he has survived the apocalypse that overran the world.
He has thwarted the attempts of the sea god Sholmdir to bring his reign to an unceremonious early end and secured an island stronghold in the middle of Lake Michigan in the bargain.
With a base of operations, it's time to start building his crew. He needs to return to the mainland and start emptying the prisons.
Those who can be trusted will be signed to his canon. There are other uses for those who can't.
Torin has had a great start to his new life, but there are more dangers and rivals awaiting him that he will have to overcome.
This is an RPG Apocalypse story with an anti-villain protagonist.

This was a good sequel to the first book. If you like violence, good amount of action, and ok with harem the. this is the book for you.

Part 2 was excellent

Honestly hilarious with a truly inspired concept.
I’ve had several people in my life stare at me like I’m losing my mind while listening to these first 2 volumes. These books have had me madly cackling so many times it’s hard to count. Aside from that this book is truly interesting and the concept is inspired. I love fiction that weaves elements of our society and fluidly interweave fantasy elements. The immersion it delivers helps draw me deeper into the narrative being written. Hope there are many more volumes to come, and our resident buccaneer begins to pillage all of the many worlds in the realm of darkwyrlds!!!

great
overall the story is good, but it feels more like it's still setup the story with little progress. it's a bit chaotic too. mostly from the author adding more actors.

A great follow up!!
First off, love that this series is based out of the Great Lakes and more specifically around Michigan. Also, truly digging the whole pirates vibe with plenty of action and intelligence added to accomplish a bit of ‘world building’ as well!
