The best thing about this book is Lance Greenfield!!! But he female lead is sooooooooo bad, it takes her 3 min to say 1 word. Even on fast speed.
The story is week and the female lead is way too childish…. Gotta get a refund😢

Arranged Marriage

Reading/Listening is an escape and the book wasn’t the worst it just needed more substance and depth. There was groveling, no angst or cheating just them reconnecting before her arranged marriage. There was some growth in the characters. I am glad that it was included with the audible subscription. Male narrator did a good job.

Wrong female narrator...

The female narrator is absolutely wrong for this book. It takes away from the story & is more of a distraction than anything. Just goes to show that the narrator's can make or break your book & it broke this one. To the point I'm going to stop listening at book 1 instead of finishing the series, despite the fact they're free.
Male narrator did a great job & this book could've been a totally different listen with the right female lead. Just listening to her annoyed me to no end, almost didn't finish the book bc of the whining tone.

Annoying

So many time o wanted to just stop listening to this book. Female narrative was not right for the character. The female character in general was pathetic. In beginning was describing her as a strong willed woman then just ended up weak. Specially with the test so easily was over it🙄. I’m just annoyed

Just read it you won’t regret it and the other books are just as amazing 🤩

Pleasantly surprised

I tried this audiobook from the plus catalog on a whim, because Amazon recommended it based on my other listens. I didn’t expect to like it, or to finish it. But I did both!

The FMC is strong, feisty, intelligent, levelheaded, compassionate and determined. Her man had to earn his way back into her heart with actions, not just words. I love a good grovel!

I don’t understand the negative feedback about the female narrator. I think they both did a good job. I will say, the entire audiobook was recorded at a perplexingly slow speaking rate. But I sped the entire thing up to 1.5, and it was perfect.

vanilla

This was completely vanilla and light gray. Not sure why it would recommend this to me when I'm heavy dark romance.

I won't follow the rest.

Female lead is awful

Female lead is the main narrator and it is painful. Her attempt at sexy male is ANNOYING and the way she draws out her words is even more annoying. not the best audiobook maybe people would enjoy it more if they just read it.

NOT!!!

Rarely do I leave a review, but this book was so hard to listen to. The female reader’s Voice makes you want to plug your ears up. The way she drags out her words makes me want to go to sleep. The storyline is not leaves a lot to be desired. Sorry, I couldn’t finish it up.
