Hutton and Ally!

I must say I read and heard the audiobook, I loved the story. I want a Hutton for myself. He is perfect and hot, nothing less of what makes it a great book boyfriend. SL Scott has proven to get me all the perfect boyfriends with each book.

Perfect combination!

This story of Hutton and Ally as narrated by Sebastian York and Ava Erickson was perfect! I love the storyline as well as the voices and how this was delivered.

Author S.L. Scott gives the story of royalty meets true love. The characters are fun and extremely enjoyable. I read this 2 person POV book a few months ago and liked this storyline a lot and decided to give the audible a try...and I am SO glad I did! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting to get in to listening!

When Modern Day Gets In The Way

This is my first book by S.L Scott, and while I try to start "new to me" author reads with the first in a series, this audiobook was recommended to me by a fellow Audiobook junkie. So at her recommendation, I jumped in and was pleasantly surprised at how easily the story flowed, and no back info was needed. ( yes, I understand that's the point of a "standalone," but sometimes I feel like they make better sense in order LOL)
Hutton and Ally's instant connection intrigued me as well as Hutton's intense feelings for her, and Ally's waffling feelings between her birthright and Hutton. I did not care for her through most of the book < looks away> While I understood her dilemma, she seemed to enjoy being "selfish" having her cake and ruling the monarchy too!
Towards the end, I became more team Ally, but was thrown for a loop with the plot turns! That was very unexpected! I LOVE Hutton's brothers; they add such a witty dynamic to it all! This book was a modern-day sexy twist on royal duties that captured my not only my attention but my heart as well!
I am thrilled to have gotten the recommendation for this one! I am looking forward to listening/reading to Everest next and checking out some of Ms. Scott's other work.

Insta-love - they were exchanging love affirmations before they’d spent much time together - seemed too fast. Liked the steadiness and support Hutton gave to Ally.

Listened to the audiobook:
Good narration, but unnaturally slow speaking - speed it up to more like 2x speed.

Sexy!

Well, this was hot.

I listened to the audiobook of this before reading the book, so I gotta say, this story with that narration? Hot, hot.

We have Hutton and Ally, and an attraction so strong, no wonder these two came together. They really are opposites, but they do find their common grounds and is spectacular.

I love royal stories, and more when SHE’S the one who’s a royal. So much power and responsibility, it takes a strong man to be with them. And Hutton is that man for sure.

These two have to go through many ups and downs in order to find their HEA, but it’s such an entertaining read, you just keep on reading (or listening, in my case).

As for the audiobook, the narrators are spot on. Perfect amount of sexiness and enough seriousness when it was needed to keep me engaged in this story. They were the perfect choice for this.

Simply Fantastic!

This is truly a wonderful modern day fairytale. I fell in love with the characters on their journey to Happily Ever After.

Swooning guaranteed

Ok, I’m hooked on Sebastian York. Because even though this book wasn’t that good at times, I enjoyed it thoroughly anyway, because of him. And Ava Erickson, who’s amazing too.

My main problem with this book is that the characters love each other right from the start, and I love to read--or in this case, listen--about the growing feelings. And the whole book is a series of “I love you, but” because the story needs a conflict.

I actually found this particular conflict quite clever! This time around, the girl is the royal--although the guy is a billionaire, he’s well off too. Ally is going to be a queen, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to break some rules. She has the bad reputation of the title. Not Hutton. Hutton is actually a prince charming--though not literally, or there wouldn’t be any conflict. He’s the perfect book boyfriend: considerate, passionate, ready to sacrifice everything just to be with the woman he loves. Swooning guaranteed.

I can’t give it all the stars, but it was good nonetheless.

I LOVED this audiobook!!

Hutton’s story was so much more than I ever expected! I didn’t even read the blurb for Bad Rep. I knew it was Hutton’s story and I was so ready for it! I had no idea I was about to get a story where the royal and the rocker collide! This rocker has his sights set on the princess who got away, on the naughty little monarch that walked away leaving her heart behind and taking his in the process. Ally wanted one wild night... just one more night to shrug off her tiara and untie the corset. She does that in epic proportion. Hutton’s the lucky rocker in her line of site. These two are scorching hot! Their chemistry is insane and SL Scott feels like a total mad scientist putting these two elements together. But they work. They might combust but they bring each other back time and time again.

Oh... my... lanta... these two narrators Sebastian York and Ava Erickson were perfect... better than perfect... JUST AMAZING! I have to tell you all that I was entranced by this audio. After listening to these narrators I can't imagine another voice for these two. Everything about these two... their voices together are pure silk and sex appeal. I just love it and could listen to it all over again!!

A modern day fairy tale!

I must admit that I love Suzie's books and I adored this story. Hutton is a dream and Ally is witty and strong. This story is a modern fairy tale but it is fun, sweet and sexy. Sebastian York is perfect as Hutton and Ava Erickson is awesome as Ally. Loved everything about this story.
