About this listen

I'm a fighter.
At least that’s what my daddy always told me.
It’s in our blood.

Hard work, hustle, and a little Hennessey is the Reid motto.
He taught me to fight for everything I wanted in life.
Take down those who threaten the dream.

My dream is to marry the perfect man.
That man is my father’s best friend and I won’t stop until I have him.
And at Daddy’s wedding in Costa Rica, I plan to make that dream finally come true.
Then, my life will be smooth sailing.

Until a chance flight with an arrogant pilot throws me off course.
Literally.
Camilo’s decisions affect my future, and I can’t allow anything—not even a cocksure, ridiculously hot idiot—to stand in my way.

Problem is, he fights back.
Every battle I’ve won in life, he shoots down and exposes me for the fraud I am. Trapped in paradise with my devilishly handsome nemesis seems like one of the seven circles of Hell...and, boy, is it getting hot around here.

He'll strip me of my armor.
Remind me of my past.
Force me to rethink my future.
And help me live in the moment.
Will he steal my heart, too?

One thing's for sure.
This girl won't give up without a fight.

Just okay...

3 stars!

Cocksure Ace written by K. Webster is a spin off of Playboy Pilot by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. In this story we meet Sheridan Reid. She is a only child and has grown up spoiled by her father. He has had to bring her up on his own when his wife passed away. Sheridan was obnoxious at times and a bit of a spoiled brat. There was a hardness to her that was hard to warm up to. Camilo is taken with Sheridan immediately. They spark something in each other and there is instant attraction.
Slowly but surely Camilo breaks down Sheridan’s walls and it was a beautiful ending. This story is super steamy and sexy and a good addition to the cocky hero world.

Although parts of the story was lacking I enjoyed the narration done by Maxine Mitchell and Gomez Pugh.

Amazing side characters!!!!!!

Ok not my favorite because the h was sooooo horrible and bitc*y. H well he was cocky and a bit of an ass but putting up with her...... but he did have some crappy moments. I will say that the supporting characters made the book better, they were freaking awesome!!!! Even with them it was hard making myself continue but at 60% it was better but I will say that though the book was 3.5 stars the ending was an amazing 5 stars and had me laughing. Again the side characters awesome and funny they are 5 star amazing 🥰😃

Easy squeezed, lemon please-y

This gave me SweetHomeAlabama, Reese W sassy vibes, right down to the proud and loud gay friends and the white, spoiled biyatch of an MC that gets taken down a peg or thirty to get to her HEA. Yes, the stereotypes and jokes occasionally had me cringing, but overall I loved the diversity and local flavor.

K. Webster is amazingly talented!!

I'm not a big fan of romcoms but I'm a huge fan of K's so I figured I'd give it a go, not an ounce of regret. So worth a credit! Funny, sexy, interesting, and the narration was great.

Love/Hate

I don't know if I have ever Hated a character as much as I did Sheridan. I questioned if I would be able to get through this book because she was so Horrifying. But then slowly she grew on me. Then you have Camilo with his hot sexy self who gradually drew her out of her bitchiness until tragedy struck him and he pushed her away. Will true Love bring them back together or will they cut their losses and learn from them??

The Latino lover you have been dreaming about

This was spicy, witty, and cute whipped together with a storm. The characters were well developed and individually interesting. The story itself I didn’t find boring at any point, nor rushed. It was all well put together and I truly enjoyed every part! Listen to this one for sure.

3.5 stars

For much of this book, I really didn't like Sheridan. It was off and on, she would have her moments, but I think by the end, she lands in the 'Not Liked' category. Now, even with that said, I loved her story. I'm all for the spoiled rich girl getting taken down a peg or two. But Sheridan fell from her pedestal, not by someone pulling her down, but rather by her becoming aware of herself. And I really appreciated that. She came into her own, realized that she wasn't a great person, and did her best to change that.

I loved pretty much all of the side characters, and the interactions that they had with each other. I want to go back and read Carter's story, and would love to see the others get their own as well.
