Great Story..

Really enjoyed this story... with the exception of the fact that the narrator sounds like he is stoned all the time..

Good storyline

I don’t care for the narrator. He is very monotone and sounds like he is reading instead of speaking.

Almost there

First of all, it's a fun concept with the elite and the sins. I really want to delve in more. The unfortunate part is, as a working mom I love my audible books. I honestly think the narrator is good but it's the pace or timing that is off. I can't figure it out. I really want to like it.
Going to try for the next book. Fingers crossed.

Meh book 1, but series is promising

Writing and narration very well done. I liked that it was from the male pov. Besides being the “set up” book for the series book 2 was a bit meh. Unfortunate because it seemed promising in the beginning. Plot just fell flat somewhere. I was extremely disappointed with the first MC sex scene. The first hook up after a bunch of build up should be epic! Epic it was not….also the ending (HEA) seemed very sudden. Felt very “quick happy wrap up” to me. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and everything to hit the fan. Everything suddenly just works out….cue catastrophe right? But no! That’s actually the end lol! I’m guessing that’s because this is an extremely intertwined set of books(at least that’s what Iv read in other reviews). As a standalone story that would have sucked , like why bother? But if you look at the series as one story just told from dif pov,then it’s like I just finished chapter 1. Now I’m excited to get to chapter 2 and the rest of the story!
The writing style and plot structure were really excellent and the spice seems very promising. I’m diving straight into book 2. high hopes and fingers crossed for some seriously hot🫦🔥😉😉😏scenes to make up for all book ones unfulfilled spice. All build up and no bang! Well I know from this authors other books she can deliver the bang. Look for my book 2 review to find out if the series delivers on the hopefully anticipated sexy🫦😉‼️

Listen to this book in 1.2x speed

That makes the male narrators voice/performance much more tolerable, even somewhat enjoyable. Because… wow his California stoner vibe is just… a lot. Decent story, I like watching the story progress. 1.2x speed… You’re welcome.

I suggest listening at 1.2 speed. It’s more raspy and less stoner sounding.

I like how things didn’t drag on and the story didn’t mess about during climaxes pun or no pun intended. Listen at 1.2 speed so you hear a raspier tone and less stoner talk.

Wow

This was a good dark story that has some twists and turns. The MMC has his friends and have gone through so many up's and down's and is stuck in a world that will not he does not want to exist in. The FMC is so quiet but have the biggest heart and ready to take on the MMC. This was an amazing story and I can't wait to dive into the rest of the series.

Narrator not the best

Narrator wasn’t the worst I’ve heard but definitely didn’t help the story. The story was ok.

Speechless

What just happened. I didn’t like it from the first 20 minutes, but I was determined to give it a chance and finish. Did not like the ending. What happens with Rhett and Chastity? Was it a HEA? Ugh
