Enjoying the Hero Club series

Love the narrators and how they bring the story to life. This book kept my interest all the way through, but at the end I feel it was rushed like I was missing a chunk of the story, even with the epilogue.

Great narration fun story

Ok, there’s a fun rooster named Rowdy in the book. That alone is cause for interest but the main characters were fun too. heather started out a bit too judgmental. I didn’t know if I would like her but she got much better as the story went on. David was good- I didn’t find him Cocky but instead, found him a good, realistic man who had some demons to deal with due to his business. I loved seeing some of the original characters from the Original world (yes, seeing the goat again was a personal favorite) and overall, I had a great time with the story.

I listened to the audiobook through audible escape and Muffy Newtown and Sebastian York were great as expected. They played the characters well, I had no trouble listening to them play out all parts of the story. This was a fun listen!

David is a sexy headstrong man. They have an awesome time with Heather’s rooster Rowdy. What away to meet the love of your life.

Love me some Clucker!

Cat Johnson based her Mother Clucker on Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward’s Cocky Bastard. Only she used her own character as the MCs.
This was my first by Johnson, and I know it won’t be the last as I loved this story. This was such a fun read that I was sad when it ended. It’s also one I now own with kindle and audible. It’s one my lousy day go-to list. I love how Johnson did with the world-building and brought in Vi and Penelope’s characters. She has done a really perfect job.
Heather and David butt heads from their first meeting. Then fate steps in, and their adventure begins. Can I just say I want Rowdy the Rooster? This story was steamy and hilarious, and just everything I had hoped for with a name like Mother Clucker. If you pick this one up, trust you won’t be disappointed.
If you loved Vi and Penelope’s Cocky Bastard, you’re going to love Cat Johnson’s, Mother Clucker!

Why do men have to be so ooooooo?

Anyway. I enjoyed getting to know a Texas rancher working to rebuild his family business name and product line. I loved meeting a chicken/rooster loving strong minded woman. This was fun, light and very easy to get through with some interesting moments. This was a quickie rom-com and I enjoyed it all.

Never dull when you have Sebastian York leading the charge. Thank you to both him and Muffy Newtown.

Entertaining

Mother Clucker is part of The Cocky Hero Club inspired by Cocky Bastard from Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. Having loved that book, I was intrigued by the blurb and could not wait to read and review, particularly since Cat Johnson is a new author to me.

Set in Hermosa Beach, a rooster named Rowdy and Pixie the goat, what more could you need to want to dive in? This is Heather and David’s story and it was an such a good read. Heather and David could not be more opposite if they tried and I loved that angle of their relationship.
This story although it had a little angst, also had humour and romance, particularly thanks to Rowdy the rooster which just added an extra layer to the story.

It was an entertaining fun read that left me with a smile on my face and the narrators did a great job bringing the story to life.

Oh what a cute story! I thought that it was different and delightful. David and Heather meet and they are clearly opposites but there is not denying the spark between them. The animals was such an added bonus! There was laugh out loud moments, the story draws you in and keeps you turning the pages.

Very original

This is definitely the first and only romance book I have read about a chicken farmer. The Characters and situations are hysterical and both narrators did an incredible job.

This was a light hearted listen and I enjoyed it very much. It had a all star narrator cast which was amazing and the story was sexy and sassy all in one. I need to go back and ready where this Cocky Hero Club started and the others in the Club since they all look very good.
