Publisher's summary

Books 1-3 together in one collection!

Climb the tower. Save the planet. Become a Dragon Rider.

Inside the Dragon's Tower, the fate of the world hangs in the balance. To win, climbers from all corners must brave the harrowing floors one by one. Each floor is tougher and the higher the floor, the less success there is. After a hundred floors filled with unique challenges, a prize awaits—a dragon's egg.

To Tem, the Dragon's Tower seems simple from his distant farmland on the frontier. The harsh truth of the situation involves politics, personal sacrifices, and unfathomable struggles to keep advancing. The fate of world rests in the hands of the brave, and Tem is not one to back down from a fight.

Warning: This audiobook has LitRPG stats. It involves gear, attributes, and leveling up. It also is set in a fantasy world with mythical creatures and magic. There is no explicit sexual content but some of the fighting can be brutal.

story is good

the character sheet voice speaks way to slow even with the speed increase to 1.3 it really hurts the immersion and increasing speed ruins the main speakers pace. main voice actor is great the other voice is crap.

Dungeons, dragons and politics

3 books for the price of 1, it is a great deal.

Our MC is a farmer who has come of age and ventures to the capital to get screened by the "gods" for his purpose in life.
He is selected to become a dragon rider and destined to climb the tower. But since he is just a farmer he "steals" a slot from the rich noblemen and ladies and the politics starts. Our MC must maneuver the political game, plots and assassins to stay alive and continue climbing the tower.

Great dual narration by Daniel and Elizabeth.

30 Hrs of Tower Climbing goodness.

If you like Litrpgs you will like this book. I don't don't like to get into details, but it has Dragons and familiars.

Delightful

Big fan of book 1 and saw the whole thing was available for a single credit. Fantastic story that I felt was great. Too often stories never get a proper ending,

I enjoyed the entire box set

Han Yang created a unique type of litRPG where tower climb level entities were a strange blend of virtual and living entities. The entities (mortals, monsters) were real in the sense of having sapience and souls but when they were killed, their souls would be returned to be respawned for the next iteration of the floor challenge. The significance of this was that when the challengers killed them, their existence didn't end so the emotional toll on the challengers was lessened with them knowing that these entities would respawn anew, similar to what a virtual RPG game respawn.

Also interesting was that there were 100 floors in the tower and each floor had unique quest aspects about it that the challenger needed to either defeat of figure out before they could move onto the next floor. Additionally, if the challenger died, they would become one of the souls used for future challengers.

Both Daniel Wisniewski and Elizabeth Plant's character performances were well done.

murder

I find it distasteful that the main character goes around killing men, women, and children just for essence. he makes a comment that he wants to marry but he kills every woman he comes across.
