Critic reviews

"Pimsleur programs provide plenty of positive reinforcement that will keep learners on track, and we found that Pimsleur gave us more proficiency and confidence in speaking the new language than any of the other language programs we reviewed." (AudioFile magazine)

Sounds like Chinese to me

By far the most difficult lanuage I've had to learn. The 1st 5 lessons were fun and interesting. Looking forward to the rest.

Lesson 1, "I don't know how to speak Mandarin"

I love this series. I'm learning with no pressure. Purely for fun. My stretch goal is to understand some lines in my favorite kung fu movies, I guess. Mandarin is a very fun and rather logical language to learn. After having casually meandered my way way through the first five lessons, there are patterns to the language that are easily recognized and absorbed through repetition, making the learning seem more like a quick word /sound substitution memory game than a foreign language lesson. Have fun!

The complex made simple

I picked Mandarin because it's so different than English and I wanted a challange. this program made it simple, put in the time and anyone can learn to speak it!

Easy to understand, mimic, and memorize. I feel good about this lesson. Some basic sentences were learned.

Best yet

I learned everything they taught me in a very short amount of time. It is perfect. The best methodology I've come across to date. Chinese is great and they made it so easy. it is not daunting at all. I only wish that they had this for advanced levels of Thai as I'm also learning Thai but what they teach is extremely basic and nothing advanced in the Thai language

Best way to learn a language. I only wish there is a transcript because I am a visual learner.
