About this listen

Ethan Lenox became a single father at 16 when his girlfriend signed over custody of their newborn daughter and left to chase her dreams. Eight years later he’s a police officer, fiercely protective of the little girl and dedicated to his work. He’s never had time for dating and won’t allow any woman to betray his trust or abandon him again. But the intriguing woman who shows up to rent the room he’s offering has him rethinking his ideas.

Photographer Honor Sullivan is on the run. Her powerful, ruthless stepfather would do anything to advance his political career, including forcing Honor into an arranged, loveless marriage. Her sexy new landlord and his adorable daughter offer just the kind of refuge she needs, a home full of love and honesty, so different from what she’s endured the last few years. But Honor is unwittingly carrying a secret, one that could endanger anyone around her. A secret that could get her killed.

As the attraction deepens between Ethan and Honor, events from the past are closing in on them. Will Ethan once again lose a woman he’s come to care about, or is he willing to risk his heart to chase a new dream of love?

Very seldom one finds love like the couple Honor and Ethan in this audiobook in real life. Even though character had flaws they were able work through it! Family bond and love was strong. Good and easy listen!

Chasing Honor is a spicy single dad, low-angst, romantic suspense. The instant chemistry between the protective, growly, hot cop Ethan and the sweet-as-pie, beguiling photographer Honor is scorching hot. Loaded with plot twists, super steamy romance, and wonderfully dynamic characters, Chasing Honor is a can’t miss suspenseful love story.

Troy’s gruff, low timbre was a great choice to portray Ethan’s broody, lone-wolf persona. Devon beautifully embodies Honor’s demure, kind-hearted, sultry ray of sunshine personality. I’m really enjoying their distinct character choices throughout this series so far. If you like captivating suspense performed by a terrific narration team, Chasing Honor is your next audiobook!

I loved Ethan & Honor!

Ethan and Honor have a unique story. It’s a story about heartache, fear of commitment and fear of abandonment. At the same time a friendship forms that’s based on trust and love. Ethan’s family speak strongly about love…

“Love is a choice, son.”

“Honor Sullivan will love you and Carson until her dying breath if you let her.”

“You’ve never known bone-deep, soul-consuming love. I know that to be a fact. Because, son, when you find that, you don’t let it go. You hold on to it, you fight for it, you nurture it, and you wrap yourself up in it until there’s no beginning or end to it. Then you’ll be happy.”

Riley did a great job expressing the pull and tug of barreling through fears in order to find love on the other side. She made you feel everything the characters were feeling. It was a great read that I definitely recommend 💜

Loved that once again the plot is different, but same characters. It’s nice to see how a family evolves. A great continuation.

Great story line

I have mixed feelings about how Honor was offended that Ethan didn’t automatically consider her his daughter’s mother after only 2 months of knowing her and how she got offended that Ethan made a parental decision for his daughter and she was offended he didn’t consult her about it. Also how everyone else was trying to push the relationship. Seriously they’ve only been together 2 months. I felt like everyone was teaming up against Ethan and not letting him make his own decisions and take it at the pace he needed. Honor didn’t respect him as a father and wanted him to just consider her his daughter’s mom. He raised her for 8 years and then expected to be able to make decisions about his daughter after only 2 months. Then she tells him she wants to move out and gets mad he doesn’t stop her.
I didn’t feel like there was much of a connection between Honor and Ethan besides sex. I feel like he was pressured into the relationship. Honor was not understanding at all and was awful to Ethan after the accident. How many times does he need to apologize? And honestly I thought she needed to apologize. She just thought she was always right and everything needed to be exactly the way she wanted. She was such a b****. I was just done with her trying to push her away and was hoping he’d just do it and leave. It was a struggle to finish.

Struggled to finish. Pushy FMC

This book… My Gosh, I LOVED it so much that I actually listened to it twice in two days!!

There were many heavy emotional moments that brought me to tears… This story definitely pulled on my heart strings. It is an absolute must listen because Troy Duran and Devon Grace who narrate this gem are both incredibly great and truly brought the characters to life!

"You love Carson beyond measure. You’re an excellent dad. You have a good family. But you’ve never known bone-deep, soul-consuming love. I know that to be a fact. Because, son, when you find that, you don’t let it go. You hold on to it, you fight for it, you nurture it, and you wrap yourself up in it until there’s no beginning or end to it. Then you’ll be happy.”"

Riley is going to keep me having my tissues on the ready I have a feeling, with each book in this series.

LOVED it so much, listened twice back to back!

Once again I love the narriators and the dimensions they bring to the characters.

Still a new author for me, but I loved this book from Riley Edwards. I have a bone-deep love for Ethan, Cason, and Honor. I love how each character is so strong and unique.

This is a story of family and of love. Ethan, now a cop, has been raising his baby girl as a single dad since he was sixteen. Carson, Ethan’s young daughter, is full of love and shines with so much determination and curiosity. Her love for learning is so endearing.

They then meet Honor and Honor’s name and character are absolutely fitting in the Next Generation Universe. Honor, with her own complicated background, is a very strong character and challenges Ethan while loving Carson throughout the storyline. I loved how strong Riley made Honor’s character, she’s no pushover.

Also, new to me are the narrators Devon Grace and Troy Duran, whom both did a good job with the characters throughout the book.

There are several twists and turns throughout this book that made the story for me. Fun listen! Definitely a great story! This book is definitely going to be put on my repeat list.

LOVE: Chasing Honor
