I’ve been ketovore/carnivore for years now and this has the most useful information for anyone new to a meat based diet. This book is like the cliff note version of Carnivore Cure.

I feel this booo is written for people who want to have a doctoral debate with scientific rebuttals . I’d have to listen to this several times to get an understanding and I’d also have to be engage in debates for any of this to be relevant . I still
Listen to it because you never know something g might stick and click after hearing it a few times

I've seen Judy Cho interviewed a couple of times (once on Kelly Hogan, not sure about the other), and she seems pleasant and knowledgeable. So I got this book, hoping it would be helpful for some relatives with chronic health problems. I mostly liked it, with a few caveats.

Pros: Lots of helpful information for those with a specific intolerance, like oxalate, lectin, antinutrients, etc. Amounts contained in specific foods are listed - helpful for anyone with a chronic health condition.

A short synopsis of the work of several experts is included, I assume, so we can dive deeper into their writings if we need to. Examples are Matt Walker on sleep and Jason Fung on fasting.

The author is open about her own history with disordered eating and is sensitive to others who struggle.

Cons: This is largely a book of tables and charts, being read out loud. That's not a knock on the content, but an observation for those about to listen to it.

The author was raised and educated in the United States, where English is the predominant language. Maybe there's a neurological reason that I don't know about, but barring that, why were so many words mispronounced? Not necessarily long chemical-compound words, but simple words like "alfalfa" and "malaise."

What's her beef with CrossFit? As someone whose life was saved by that exercise modality, I'm having a hard time taking seriously a warning by someone who doesn't appear to be an expert on strength and conditioning.

Potential con: Since I only have the audio version of the book, I don't know if there are citations to studies supporting the thousands of claims made in this book. I will assume she included links to reliable studies to back up her assertions.

Judy has done a great service to the Carnivore tribe, and to our unhealthy society at large!! This is an excellent book, a must read (or listen) and the resources and tables make it even more indispensable. If you want to take control of your heath and say NO to fat profits of Big Pharma and Big Farm, this book is a must.

Praise God! I had severe hypothyroidism. The Carnivore Diet plus the Bluebonnet Thyroid support formula helped to deliver me from what I thought could have been my deathbed. I normally follow The Maker's Diet by Jordan Rubin when I am in good health. Whenever I have a hypothyroid attack I go carnivore and take the Bluebonnet formula until I get better again. Thank you Judy Cho! I run a holistic health school (Arukah Holistic Life Academy) and this book is one of the required reading for my students. I make sure my students learn about all of the different diet theories that they can use in their holistic practice.
