About this listen

For Addison Fairchild, success is a guarantee. Groomed since childhood to run a division of Fairchild Enterprises, she takes her birthright seriously. Maybe a little too seriously, if you ask her friends. But work is so much easier than the rest of her life. Her employees hate her, her best friend is worried about her, and her last date was hide-in-the-restroom awkward. If all that wasn't bad enough, she's stuck with a new cheerful-happy-annoyingly-morning-person assistant, just when the head of FE is about to choose a successor - a job Addison wants so badly, she can taste it.

For Katie Cooper, money has never been important. That is, until her father gets dementia and needs full-time care. As the bills start to pile up, Katie takes a second job as a temporary personal assistant. Two minutes and one spilled cup of coffee later, she's sure she's not ready for Addison Fairchild - her hard head, her know-it-all attitude, or her gorgeous face.

Forced to work together, Addison and Kate discover that opposites really do attract.

As good as the others, if not more..,.

THe only thing I don’t understand is why Ms Beers named this wonderful book Calendar Girl...
It is a great story, romantic, but not too mushy, narration as always is great, Paige McKinney has a great voice and she narrates wonderfully.
Looking forward to new books from Georgia Beers

Overall great book with some crazy moments!

I enjoyed this book, as do I with most GB books. The characters were somewhat interesting and one had total a$$wipe moments i just could not believe, but she redeemed herself pretty nicely! I did have some laugh out loud bits as well. The narrator was good as usual, I could not complain. I would have like this too be a little bit longer and more depth with the relationship part, but it still was good. Overall, good book and I'd recommend it!

very good, but not the best from Georgia Beers

I love Georgia Beers' books! She writes witty dialogue between 2 likeable characters and always has some steamy sex scenes. This audiobook "Calendar Girl" is no exception. I even liked the uptight, business woman! I was rooting for them to get together, knowing they would within so many hours anyway ha Ok, even though I enjoyed this listen and love Georgia Beers, if you want an amazing audiobook by her, check out "A Little Bit of Spice". That's one of my all time favorite audiobooks:)

CALENDAR GIRL

As always with any novel written by Georgia Beers it was an excellent listen. Also a flashback into a previous novel.

Okay, but the narration

I liked the story, even if it was a little bit lackluster. This is a light romance, and as such, it was enjoyable. I wasn't a fan of the narration. The narrator has agood voice, but her way of emphasizing certain parts as if she or the characters were constantly surprised was a bit annoying. But the story is nice enough, and I like Georgia Beers' novels.

we all know someone like that!

While I would love to say NO WAY would I have ever worked for someone like that! GB did it again in putting real people in real situations where they have adapted to what they think they need to be or have become what they don't have a choice to be.

A great reminder that we all have a story going on in the background that may make us a "bitch boss" or a "short term over qualified errand girl".

This is an easy listen/read, GB is one of the best!

Good story, but some irritating issues

I received this audiobook for free in exchange for an unbiased review.

I am a big Georgia Beers fan and always love her stories and character development. Calendar Girl did not disappoint as the characters were well done and the overall story was good. I loved Paige McKinney's performance. I especially love the deeper voice that she gives to the ice queen, Addison Fairchild, in the story. Despite all of the good in the story, there were some irritating points for me. Maybe I will have to listen to it again to get a different feel for aspects of the story. The passion between the two main characters is evident from the very beginning of the story. The sticking point I have is with Fairchild's mother and the "sexual harassment" policy that makes it impossible for two people that are dating in the workplace to continue working there. It causes Addison and Katie Cooper to fight their feelings and causes a lot of angst that shouldn't be there. Fairchild's mother is a character that I grew to hate in the story, a mother that groomed her kids to work as hard as they can and then penalizes one of them for doing her best. That one character took a lot away from the story for me.

Overall, you can't go wrong with a story from Beers. Calendar Girl was good, but the way the story ended left me wanting more.
