About this listen

As a kid, Adley Purcell dreamed of owning Get the Scoop ice cream shop, and now that she does, she’s worried it could go under. She’s trying to focus on her love of ice cream, but she’s edgy and stressed. And how the hell she’ll survive national dessert chain Sweet Heaven opening a store less than two blocks away, she has no idea. Life is a rocky road right now, and there’s only one cherry on top: the sexy business-suit-clad blonde at happy hour.

Sabrina James doesn’t stay still. Sweet Heaven takes her all over the country, opening new stores, then moving on to the next city. Smooth and simple. Until the gorgeous woman she meets at a bar who leaves her craving more turns out to own the small-town ice cream shop barely two blocks from the new Sweet Heaven location. Could life get any more complicated?

Have Adley and Sabrina bitten off more than they can chew, or will they swirl the salty with the sweet? In love and ice cream there’s only one rule: When life gives you heavenly hash, eat dessert first.

In need of another scoop!

Wow! I loved this book and Lulu Larkin has become one of my favorite narrators. The story did not go as I thought it would, which was a nice surprise. Give this a listen and fall in love with these characters.

A Sweet Slow Burn with A Scoop of Sadness Romance

Adley Purcell and Sabrina James have chemistry for days, and they really are perfect for each other. Peaches and Cream is a sweet story, and I love Adley and Sabrina together, My only frustration was the long stretch of time with them being apart and trying so hard to forget each other. It made me sad. I also really thought the parental relationships were odd and not deeply explored. In Adley’s case, her parents were very unsupportive of her and dismissive of her emotional state and the things she cared about. I thought she cut them too much slack. And in Sabrina’s case I have no idea why her mom kept pushing the toxic male coworker on her and that was never resolved but that’s OK. I’m glad he wasn’t a big part of the story. I enjoyed the narration a lot!

Very Sweet Story!

Georgia Beers knows how to write a great story! It was nice how characters from other of her books were included in this book! It was nice to see the Martini bar again. Also, Scotty and Marissa were in this book as well. I was concerned that Adley’s parents were so insensitive to her pain of losing her business. Sabrina was adorable as was Sprinkles the puppy. Lula Larkin is becoming my favorite narrator and was excellent with this story.
Overall, well done!

Sweet story

It was a super sweet story. I loved the build up and the fact that the main characters didn’t jump into bed right off the get go. The prolog was amazing. I love prolongs that wrap up the relationship and their life going forward.

You’ve Got Mail, sapphic style

You can never go wrong with GB. Such a sweet story. Small town ice cream vs. ice cream giant. Sprinkle attraction, adoration, and saucey romance; then wrap that up in a waffle cone of deliciousness. Beautiful story.

I enjoyed this book.

I really enjoyed listening to this. started kind of slow to me, but I kept listening, and this book became more and more interesting. The more I became enraptured into it, I absolutely love this book and how the characters evolved. Thank Georgia Beers for another great book, and as always, I love Lula Larkin as the narrator.

There is no doubt

Georgia Beers is a great writer, I never met a book of hers that I didn’t like. Narration was excellent and I wish there were some recipes for the ice cream.
