About this listen

Includes audiobook-exclusive coaching sessions from Jess!

You were made for more than a love/hate relationship with your body.

It's one thing to know in your head that you were created in the image of God. Yet it's quite another to experience this belief in your body, against the cultural ideals of a woman's worth. And between the two lies a world of frustration, disappointment, and the shame of somehow feeling both too much and never enough in your body.

Jess Connolly is a best-selling author, sought-after speaker, and trusted Bible teacher who knows this inner conflict all too well, and this book details her journey - and yours - of setting out to discover how to break free from the broken beliefs we all hold about our bodies that hold us back from our fullest life.

The truest thing about you is that you are made and loved by God. And the truest thing about him is that he cannot make bad things. This book will help you believe it with your whole self, as Jess guides you through an eye-opening, empowering process of:

  • Renaming what the world has labeled as less-than
  • Resting in God's workmanship
  • Experiencing restoration where there has been injury
  • And becoming a change agent in partnering with God to bring revival to a generation of women

Far from a superficial issue, self-image is a spiritual issue, because God has named your body good from the beginning. Whether your struggle is with eating and exercise habits, stress or trauma, infertility or injury, this book makes space for you to experience God meeting you in this tender place, and ring his freedom bell over your body in a whole new way.

Do not hesitate. Just read the book. It is worth it.

I am a huge fan of Jessica's writing to begin with; though honestly, I will admit, I have been sitting on reading this book for basically half of a year. 😅😅

I wasn't sure what I was going to get into when I started listening, However, I could not stop listening once I started!!!🫠😍

I laughed. I grieved. I cried. I giggled. I was encouraged. I felt so seen and was righteously challenged. It is so good.🥹🥹🥹

Thank you so much for bearing your soul, Jess Connoly! It has done a great work in me and I am so thankful for your obedience to share this book with all women of the world.

I REPEAT! Do not hesitate! Read this book. 🚨🚨🚨

Must listen

Jess speaks on an area most woman avoid or critic. Her voice is pleasant to hear. She is made to champion our physical designs, beyond the curses into the promises.

Thank You Jess

I see all bodies as beautiful and wonderfully created by God. I love seeing woman in wild flamboyant colorful dresses that only they could wear well and men in Speedos when other men like them would rather die before wearing one. But me. I’ve had to heal over the last 43 years from my body being used as an object to be discarded as nothing. I needed this book. Woman of all races, color, nationalities need this book. God loves me no matter what. That statement makes me tear up and want to burst into a really ugly crying spell. Because for so long the pain in my heart has kept me believing that I am unworthy of love because God allowed this traumatic event. But he was there. This horrible evil act towards my body happened in the parking lot of the church where I was saved. And the enemy has been after me ever since. But my name is Kelly~which means warrior~and I claim it. I’m working on my high Cortisol, low Estrogen, too many carbs, coffee creamer loving body. But no matter what, my body is good.
Thank you for this book.
My daughter recommended it for me. She said every woman should read it~and she was right.

Hits Deep

I can’t put enough stars on this book & Jess for sharing her heart and the much, much encouragement I needed to hear to LOVE my body that God gave me! Jess made great points and at times I’d be in tears. I cannot say enough about how I’m viewing and seeing my body!

I’m in Awe

As a woman who became a Christian when I was very young, as a pastor and Chaplain who ministers to university women, as a daughter, a sister, a friend, never have I ever read such beautiful words rooted in the gospel as this. Jess writes prophetically, calling women to view our bodies through the eyes of our Creator, Sharing her story as an example of how to do this, and breaking things down to the very root of body shame. Honestly I am still letting it all soak into my soul and the very deepest parts that you’re in for healing, but I am excited, inspired, and uplifted in a way I have never been before. I am also more determined, determined to view my body as good, and stop letting the enemy rule my mind, my words, my thoughts, conversations with friends, seasons like summer, and so much more. I have ordered copies for all my women in leadership, and I will give this book out to every friend I know who struggles under the weight and bondage of body shame. I will be a part of the revival the author talks about hoping, wanting, and believing to see. Thank you Jess. From the bottom of my heart.

Practical and authentic

Jess shares from her heart with vulnerability about her body struggles. She gives insight to ways we may not see our body focus that needs adjusting. Hey call to action after realization is powerful and compassionate. Jess helps, loves, teaches, encourages & inspires you to grow in your healthy body image. I really enjoy the BONUS audio parts from her because of getting her audio book. Healthy material for the heart and body and spirit. Have “read” it about 3 times already in the first 45 days.
