NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • WINNER OF THE ECPA BOOK OF THE YEAR AWARD • The author of Get Out of Your Head offers practical solutions for creating true community, the kind that’s crucial to our mental and spiritual health.

“My dear friend Jennie Allen shows us how to make true emotional connections with the right people so that our authentic relationships can be healthy for all.”—Lysa TerKeurst, author of It’s Not Supposed to Be This Way

In a world that’s both more connected and more isolating than ever before, we’re often tempted to do life alone, whether because we’re so busy or because relationships feel risky and hard. But science confirms that consistent, meaningful connection with others has a powerful impact on our well-being. We are meant to live known and loved. But so many are hiding behind emotional walls that we’re experiencing an epidemic of loneliness.

In Find Your People, bestselling author Jennie Allen draws on fascinating insights from science and history, timeless biblical truth, and vulnerable stories from her own life to help you:

• overcome the barriers to making new friends and learn to initiate with easy-to-follow steps

• find simple ways to press through awkward to get to authentic in conversations

• understand how conflict can strengthen relationships rather than destroy them

• identify the type of friend you are and the types of friends you need

• learn the five practical ingredients you need to have the type of friends you’ve always longed for

You were created to play, engage, adventure, and explore—with others. In Find Your People, you’ll discover exactly how to dive into the deep end and experience the full wonder of community. Because while the ache of loneliness is real, it doesn’t have to be your reality.

“Easy solutions to create true connections, strengthen relationships and curb loneliness. With scientific insights and biblical references, Allen shares ways to identify the type of friend you need, how to have authentic conversations and more. It’s a sweet map to joy and connection.”Woman’s World

“We know we need to do life with other people and have a supportive community around us instead of living in isolation, but we often wonder how when we’ve had friendships fail, we’ve been hurt, or we feel too busy to even make the effort. In Find Your People, my dear friend Jennie Allen shows us how to make true emotional connections with the right people so that our authentic relationships can be healthy for all.”—Lysa TerKeurst, #1 New York Times bestselling author and president of Proverbs 31 Ministries

Featured Article: Listens and Learnings from The Great Resignation

Living through the COVID-19 pandemic put the fleeting nature of human life front and center, and served as a turning point in the lives of millions. Radical shifts in social interactions and ways of working, along with the prevalence of illness and grief, motivated many to reassess their priorities. A staggering number of adult workers pivoted their careers or just plain left the workforce entirely, in a phenomenon that’s been coined The Great Resignation.

What I needed to hear

Adulting and finding friends, especially in a new place and in this chaotic culture we live in, is sometimes just as rough as middle school lunch hour. This book was a welcome respite for a weary soul trying to find her footing in a new place and with a heavy heart. I am thankful Jennie pours out her heart and it shows in the way she speaks these words. Thanks Jennie for encouraging me to go out and Find My People. 🤍🛐

Love it

I was just browsing through the audible book store. After hearing a sample of the book my earswere glued and I had to download it. I am so glad I did. In a day and age where people are talking about how much they don’t like and dislike peoplethis was an honest approach to actually dealing with what’s behind the anti-people jargon sweeping through the culture today.

A very good listen

I liked the open transparency of the author. She is easy to listen to. Much like sitting across the table from a friend discussing life.

Exactly what I was hoping for!

We are missing so much, within our relationships, in today’s world. I have personally seen, throughout my life, the deterioration of community within our (American) society. I initially started to think that maybe it was just me, but after the pandemic, it has been screamingly clear. WE NEED COMMUNITY. We were created for community. We ARE community: we just need to prioritize it.
Jennie does an amazing job of introducing these problems in an intriguing way, while staying true to the Word of God; and I’m unendingly thankful for her putting my observations and worries, into words. God bless you, Jennie!
