Excellent True Crime Read

The first true crime book I ever read was written by Charles Bosworth, Jr. Now I am a fan of the genre. Initially I was impressed by the obvious research, clear writing, and the focus on the jury trial in that case. I was not disappointed with Bone Deep. Again the research and writing are thorough and there is plenty of courtroom action. I hadn’t known about the Betsy Faria murder. I was fascinated by some of the information and infuriated at other times. I highly recommend this book.

Gary Bennet did a great job narrating this audiobook.

I listen to the podcasts then listen to this audio book, glad I did since it does have a great ending!

Unbelievable story

So hard to believe this really happened! Fascinating true story. At times, a bit boring as the narrator had a very monotone voice. not overall, good book.

BRILLIANT

Loved it. The drama, story, court case, defense attorneys. Justice prevails. Well worth it if you enjoy this type of story.

Fascinating train wreck of a case

This was about a completely fascinating case that seems too crazy to have really happened...yet it did. The book is written in conjunction with the defense lawyer, which provided some great insight into how he handled the case and eventually brought about true justice for the victim. It was well written and insightful.

My only complaint was how very frustrating it was hearing about the police's complete incompetence during the course of their investigation. It was totally maddening and I almost stopped listening at one point because I was getting really upset. I'm glad I stuck with it, though, because the ending is very satisfactory.

All in all, a great read about a super interesting case.

I've never EXPERIENCED a book like this before

I just finished listening and I'm crying and literally so in awe of God's orchestration and divine timing even though so many things happen to such good people that are so senseless and depraved, He has a plan for ALL of us, good AND evil. WOW. Just, WOW. I had nothing to do yesterday and started listening; I have stayed up all night - I listened to it all the way through. How absolutely incredible. Modern day EVIDENCE of how good triumphs over evil and just the way people with God given gifts and purposes who would never bump into each other are brought together through the most ironic circumstances, literally divine orchestration, to join and battle together against evil and TRIUMPH. You can't make this sh*t up!!!! This deserves a standing ovation. This will stick with me forever.

Courtroom Frustration

I couldn't believe that jurors didn't have better discernment. But if you like following murder trials, this one is for you.
