About this listen

Inside a beautiful house in Philadelphia's ritzy Main Line section lay the body of a young mother - dead of an apparent drowning in her bathtub. With no sign of a break-in, no history of marital problems, and the naïve belief that these things sometimes just happen, Stefanie Rabinowitz's family prepared to bury the 29-year-old wife and mother. But at the 11th hour, because Stefanie was so young, and because there were no witnesses to her death, an autopsy was ordered. And what it revealed was unthinkable: Stefanie had been murdered - strangled in her home, then dragged into the tub to stage a fake drowning. Even more shocking was the suspected killer - Stefanie's 34-year-old husband, Craig: devoted family man, loyal husband, and "everybody's best friend".

When the astounding truth began to emerge, so did the tawdry double life of Craig Rabinowitz, a man so obsessed with a $2,000-a-week exotic dancer that his habit caused him to look to the insurance money he would get from murdering his wife. Now, with exclusive interviews and startling inside details, best-selling author Ken Englade blows wide open the shocking true account of a storybook marriage that ended in bone-chilling murder.

Contains mature themes.

Well done

This was an extremely entertaining story. The last book was the best Wi-Fi. Our narrator has incredible talent which he really showed in this book. I hope you all enjoy.

Good all-around

Good all around story, good narration. Funny how the whole story was about trial lead-up, until it wasn't.

Great true crime and I listen to a lot.

This book is free to subscribers so I expected it to be just ok. The detail and depth of research into all the main people is amazing. It's thoroughly engrossing even though it's just one murder and not a serial killer. You really get a sense of how everyone feels and reacts, you're drawn in to their personal stories. The narrator is also good even though he mispronounces Shiva. He pronounced it like the Indian god with long e - sheeva, rather than short i - shivvuh. I'm not Jewish but it irked me nonetheless. But that's my only minor complaint. The rest is great. I highly recommend this for any true crime fans, especially those who like spousal murder and all the intrigue, secret double life, and impact on everyone involved.

Great but Sad Story

This was a well written story that gives you a look into how arrogant some people can truly be. Very sad for the ultimate ending.

Facts & work

Very factual & shows how much work is involved by detectives & attorneys to take a murder case to trial.
