Publisher's summary

#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • A thrilling and emotionally powerful novel from the author of the Jane Hawk series

“A literary miracle . . . a tapestry of intrigue and suspense.”—The Boston Globe

His birth was marked by wonder and tragedy. He sees beauty and terror beyond our deepest dreams. His story will change the way you see the world.

Bartholomew Lampion is born on a day of tragedy and terror that will mark his family forever. All agree that his unusual eyes are the most beautiful they have ever seen. On this same day, a thousand miles away, a ruthless man learns that he has a mortal enemy named Bartholomew. He embarks on a relentless search to find this enemy, a search that will consume his life. And a girl is born from a brutal rape, her destiny mysteriously linked to Barty and the man who stalks him.

At the age of three, Barty Lampion is blinded when surgeons remove his eyes to save him from a fast-spreading cancer. As he copes with his blindness and proves to be a prodigy, his mother counsels him that all things happen for a reason and that every person’s life has an effect on every other person’s, in often unknowable ways.

At thirteen, Bartholomew regains his sight. How he regains it, why he regains it, and what happens as his amazing life unfolds and entwines with others results in a breathtaking journey of courage, heart-stopping suspense, and high adventure.

Captivating

This book by Dean Koontz is by far the best one I have ever read or listened to. And I’ve read many. The many different story lines end up converging and I cried at the end. Phenomenal.

The best Dean Koontz Novel. . . . EVER!

I have AMD and thus cannot "read" a book but Audible gives me access to every book every written; it's a wonderful product. "From the Corner of his Eye" is Dean Koontz 's finest novel, without exception and perhaps one of the Worlds greatest novels ever written. Once begun, the reader, or listener as in my case, is captivated and pulled into one of the most intriguing tales ever written. I'm going to give my brain a r3st for a couple of days and listen to it again. If you read my review and listen to this novel, don't make any plans where you would be unable to listen and cont4mplate life and the World around you.

Very clever weaving of the tale!

Intelligent and keeps you guessing. You will NEVER figure out the end and when it happens you sit there a little numb feeling like someone just took away the remote control. Loved it-will reread it!

Enjoyed every minute!

Dean Koontz is known for monsters and some sci-fi, but this book through me for a loop. This starts off as a thriller, murder mystery type of book. It was like a detective novel, which I love, but not what I was expecting. It kept on getting interesting. there were plenty of times I did not want to put it down. I haven't had a GREAT novel in a while. WIthout spoilers, near the end comes in classic Dean Koontz style.

His Beat Book

Beautifully written and very well read, Koontz has written perhaps his best book out of many wonderful tales. The story dabbles in quantum physics, but is made easier to understand by putting some of the explanations into the mouths of children. The book is thrilling, sweet and touches on many societal issues. Thoroughly enjoyable read!

Amazing

I honestly don’t want to say too much to give away the ending, but it really hit me and I believe the message.
