On my "highly recommended" list!
In her new book, Ascend Your Start-Up: Conquer the Five Disconnects to Accelerate Growth, Helen Yu blends great visualization and storytelling (of a very personal story) with sage business advice gleaned from a career spanning more than two decades of advising tech companies – both large and small.
This book is a short, easy read that contains powerful nuggets of information that can be applied to tech and non-tech startups. Addressing the 5 Disconnects that are highlighted in the book will keep any growing business moving in the right direction. The 26 micro-decisions discussed in the book are guideposts for any company that is looking to grow.
Helen's personal story about the lengths she went to honor her grandmother, is both inspiring and humbling.
Ascend Your Start-Up is a great read. The book is well worth an investment of time now and will serve as a reference source for future growth.
