Tahereh never misses

Ah! This series has a chunk of my heart. The story, the magic, the culture, the longing, the devotion, the perspective. *chef’s kiss* Tahereh knew what she was doing and the narrator did too. This was exquisite to listen to and an absolute joy to dive into. I only wish I could immediately immerse myself into the next book in this series.

Another stunning addition!

I spent the last hour of the book deeply troubled because I believed it to be the last book in the series. Don’t be like me, and enjoy! There are 2 more books to come!

Well that kind of felt like a filler

I really love this storyline. I think it has a lot of potential but this book felt like the story was running in place. It was still good don't get me wrong but it ended with few answers and even more questions.

So good!

I can not explain how her use of words weave and create such a beautiful story. I was hanging on every word, for all three books. This one was my favorite. Delicious.

Surprisingly Meh

Confusingly bad considering her other books. Characters took odd arcs that were jarring and not in a good way. Main characters were weak and boring. And apparently Cyrus can only lust and be tormented. The. Entire. Book.

slow to go series

I absolutely love this series! At first I found it slow and some characters whiny. By the 4th book I couldn't stop listening to it.!

Disappointing 3rd book.

I really enjoyed the first two books, but this one seemed to drag. I kept waiting for something to happen, but after the beginning the plot stalled.

You could skip this one in the series and not miss much

Like other reviewers I would agree that this book in the series feels more like filler - a moment in the series that is more emotional than story development. And like the others I’m invested so I’ll await the next book. I’m holding out hope that Tahereh, as they have done for the first two books, re-engages us for the fourth.

Meh

I wouldn’t say it was bad but I wouldn’t say it was good. I would say that it did have potential but they just kept staying on the same thing that I just wanted it to end. Also can we talk about how she had to have Kamran like nobody likes him. I would say that if your a person that would just leave if you beginning is boring I would do the same for this one to. Overall I loved it and it really stuck in my head for the very exciting moments. This had potential if it was written right.

disappointed

nothing new or memorable happened in this book... mostly just more of Kamron being a jerk and Cyrus being cryptic. I'm definitely going to read the next one bc I'm invested but I feel like we could have skipped this one altogether.
