great book two, but shorter then the last one

good story telling but ending felt kind of abrupt looking forward to the next book. performance was great as always

Strong follow-up to a great debut!

Book 1 of this series was brilliant. I fell in love with Nathan as a character and the world Alexander Olson built. Book 2 goes from strength to strength. More of the same in all the best possible ways. I can't wait to see where we go from here.

Refreshing Character Loyalty

A fun progression fantasy in a complex world with monsters, villians, battles, and levels. My favorite part is the connections between the characters of the main team.

Very science magi

The story was solid, and the performance was great. And honestly, finally seeing a male protagonist in the genre who might be some shade of G/B is really really exciting to me. Nothing has happened yet, but even just commenting on appearance here or there has been really nice. It's no where near as gratuitous as most LitRPG descriptions of women get. which I think is good. I do hope he eventually does have something happen. I so rarely get any fantasy MCs sharing a sexuality, I really hope something real happens for him.

Beyond representation - the magic of this world is very interestingly scientific. it's fun to see instead of the stars aligning or some gods blessing, the MC is useful/important because of his knowledge. It somewhat reminds me of Chrysalis - that author seems very into ants and the passion shows. this one has a lot of good knowledge about general sciences it seems and it makes the read all the more interesting.


I don't thinkt he story itself is quite up to HHFWM or DotF, at least not for me just yet. But I'm hooked and looking forward to what limits his knowledge can break. And HOPEFULLY a gay kiss or romance at some point.

I hope there is more to this series. Really well done book, and this is coming from someone who doesn't like LitRPGs normally.

New Take on Fantasy

these books have taken me through a new though process for fantasy. not all worlds are pretty perfect peaceful places. Some places have some dark secrets.

Love it, it’s a fabulous isekai litrpg with compelling characters a cool premise, and a lot of potential

Seems you have nothing of value to trade for my insight. Buckle up, that insight garners no favor in return for a friend.

Good series

I loved book 1. During the wait for book 2 I found the Mark of the fool series narrated by Travis Baldree and those books, with that narrator, just set the bar far too high. Still well worth the time to listen to this series and I would have given it 5 stars across the board if not for the previously mentioned series in the same genre.
