About this listen

What if you could take a picture of your true soulmate before you ever met her? It was an innocent roll of film she found on the street. But when Jolee Wiley had it developed, hoping she might be able to find its owner from the pictures on it, she came face to face with a shocking impossibility.

Mike Owensby is an archivist. A dreams keeper. The roll of film belongs to him. And the woman who found it may be the lover he has been seeking all his life.

Instalove but pretty good

Snort, instalove. Neat story idea which feels like it could be developed into a whole book or even series, but I am fine with it ending here.

Narrated by the author, and I thought I was going to be irritated by her Ss and SHs, but I got used to it. She did a good job on the male and I can put up with a lot else when the narrator gets both genders right.

Interesting premise

Interesting premise (an audio review)

I’m always leery of books narrated by their authors so I’ll give the same caveat I always give – make sure you listen to the sample. That being said, Ms. Mooney’s narration was competent so I was able to listen to the whole novella. I have to say I found the premise different than other books and I liked that. I mean what is an archivist? A dream keeper? Someone who catalogues the past and makes it accessible to those in the future who might seek knowledge, I would think. Mike Owensby goes beyond the archiving and actually infiltrates and documents people’s dreams. He puts the images on film, but they only stay accessible for him for a certain period of time.

Confused?

I admit I had to wrap my mind around the concept but what it came down to was soulmates. Jolee and Mike are destined to be together. How they meet and what happens next makes up the bulk of the story and even though there were elements that pushed credulity (I’m thinking clothes), there were other elements that made it fascinating. I always enjoy when authors push boundaries and try something new. Sometimes it works and sometime it doesn’t. This did.

Everyone needs a Mike!

This was a super quick instalove story with a different take on things. The dream seeker/keeper was a neat approach and I enjoyed this quick story. It was super sweet and if only we all had a Mike searching for us all. Narrator/Author did a good job.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Cute little PNR novella

This was a quick cute little PNR novella about finding your dates mate. Definitely a nice surprise as I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised and having the actual author narrate it was fun too. Don't hesitate to one-click this little gem.
