Love Zig but there is some material about family dynamics that is completely outdated. Overall is good and I will continue to listen to it but skip the family section.

Don't call about "The Book" Grant Mentions

Unsatisfied
Reviewed: 10-04-21
Based on his other books, I like the author but this time he over sold his books and services way too many times during this audiobook. Additionally, the structure of the book is more like a podcast rather than a book. I personally was very unsatisfied with this audio book.

Story
Frustrated by the high costs and difficulty of accepting credit card payments, McKelvey joined his friend Jack Dorsey (the cofounder of Twitter) to launch Square, a startup that would enable small merchants to accept credit card payments on their mobile phones. The Innovation Stack is a thrilling business narrative that's much bigger than the story of Square. It is an irreverent first-person look inside the world of entrepreneurship, and a call to action for all of us to find the entrepreneur within ourselves and identify and fix unsolved problems - one crazy idea at a time.

Story
They say you shouldn't ask your mom whether your business is a good idea, because she loves you and will lie to you. This is technically true, but it misses the point. You shouldn't ask anyone if your business is a good idea. It's a bad question, and everyone will lie to you at least a little. As a matter of fact, it's not their responsibility to tell you the truth. It's your responsibility to find it, and it's worth doing right.

I had my 1st Start-Up a couple of years ago and we had to shutdown. If I had this listen or read this book at the time, I believe that the results might of been different. This book provides you with great insights and direction on what to expect and how to manage through obstacles. I highly recommend it.
