Story
It's time to become the queen I was prophesied to be. The journey to save my kingdom and restore balance to the realm might break me, but I'll be damned if I give up without one hell of a fight. I'm not that arrogant girl they all knew in my previous life. Let them underestimate me, it'll make victory that much sweeter. I'm coming for your Anshar, and not in the way you'd like.

Meh, plot holes and underwhelming story
Reviewed: 02-23-25
The characters get whiny at times and u find myself eye rolling at conversations between characters. “Oh, I have to be the strong one of the group and be there for my family…but I don’t know if I can.” Definitely struggling to finish the 2nd book. Main character is whiny bossy and bratty 90% of the time.
As for the narrators, the male one is good, the female tends to have moments where her mouth sounds like it has extra saliva in it and she can’t find time to swallow while reading.

Story
Thirty-nine was a fantastic year. I was married to the man I loved. I had a body that worked without creaking. My grandma, who raised me, was still healthy, and life was pretty damned good. But as they say, all good things come to an end. One year later, I’m a widow. My joints are starting to ache. Gram is in the nursing home, and dead people think my home is some kind of supernatural bed-and-breakfast. Gluing body parts onto semi-transparent people has become a side job - deceased people I’m not even sure are actually there.

Pretty slow book I agree with other readers I struggle to finish. Mostly because I find the narrator to drone on. Narrator also speaks like she’s extremely congested.

Story
I've been living in a small town working for the vampires for the last six months. All I want is to save up enough to open an apothecary so I don't have to heal the neckers anymore. Of course, nothing in my life can be that simple. Two detectives show up at my door asking questions about a dead girl and trying to pin the murder on my employer. Next thing I know, I'm dodging fireballs in parking lots.

narrators voice is cringe, good story though
Reviewed: 02-01-24
The narrator over pronounces each word making it hard to get into the story. It took 2 books before I started to get use to her voice. That being said the whole box set was worth the credit. Sorry got a little hard to follow a few times. The main character also got a little whiny but the over all presence of the book was great!

Story
Two mortal enemies. One hot, fated love. The dominant wolf shifter never thought I'd fall onto his doomed planet. When I do, he thinks it's the best day of his life. It's the worst for me. I escaped being a breeder to a cruel king, only to have my spaceship crash on the arena where nine clans fight to the death to claim me. I flee the ship, but Antonio tracks me down. He f--ks me, believing I'm his mate, but when he finds out who I truly am - a leopard princess whose father slaughtered his family - he looks at me with hatred. Yet he can't let me go. His body craves mine too much.

This 1 is cringe. It’s a whole bunch of “ if we get it!” It doesn’t really progress the story line.
So glad I didn’t pay for this book. Not worth the credit just for one sex scene after another. I personally still need a good story line. 1st book was WAY better.

The first rule of being a ghost whisperer: Don't tell anyone. Seriously. Don't. Sure, it might sound harmless. A fun party trick, even. I assure you, it's not. How do I know? Well, let's just say that I've had a lot of experience with this sort of thing, and nine times out of 10, it turns into an all-consuming disaster.

Cute mystery that had a couple twists but over all easy to see where the story was going. Sometimes it nice to just have everything wrapped up in one book. Also, the book was clean so it was something I could listen to with kid ears around.

Narrator did NOT fit …I cringed so much
Reviewed: 11-04-23
Sorry has been fine. Nothing that I would recommend. Kind drowns on but that could just be the narrator. She does not fit the main characters voice. Sounds like a 60+ year old instead of the early 20s character she’s narrating. I find myself stopping the book regularly to find anything else on audible plus.

It was like watching a hallmark rom-com just in my mind! Super cute but cheesy story. Girl gets LA dream guy, goes home to lay low, falls in love with small town guy and now has to choose between what life she wants. Everyone knows how this story goes and ends 😂🤪 still cute! Also I loved the sound effects, full cast and music it was a nice pick me up listen.

Consequently, Dulcie is put in charge of Headquarters for the ANC (Association for Netherworld Creatures). Unfortunately for her, she doesn’t have a whole lot to keep her occupied. Well, that is, until Jax Rochefort storms into Headquarters and her life.

I’m not new to this series, read them in book, form and listened to them. After listening to all the previous books, I had to put this book down because I can’t deal with the narrator. Her voice doesn’t fit the main character and doesn’t do the main characters justice at all. It’s just cringey. This book itself is just a platform to continue the story. Basically full of filler. but I’m an avid fan of this writer and series so worth a listen to continue on.
