End of the Trilogy

TW: de*dlt trials, forced marriage
For a second there I was seriously worried how this book was going to end. I did think the worst tbh but I’m glad I was wrong. It would’ve been the wrong ending for them.
The audiobook was again amazing. I really liked the narrators for this although they are not the best at kid voices.
My only note: Kai deserved an epilogue more than Kitt. I was sad he didn’t get one.
I liked the Edric POVs a little by the end. At first I was annoyed by them but I also understood it was a great way to tell parts of the story. I’m honestly glad we didn’t get Kitt this time. He annoyed me last book.
The entire book I just kept crying for Kai. It was one thing after the other and the man was literally just being a cinnamon roll. Poor guy. I was truly disappointed in the wedding scene because I had hoped for anything to happen but I also totally understand why it happened the way it did.
I feel heartless saying this but when that thing happened to Kitt I didn’t feel remorse really at all. Sorry
Anyway. Great book. A good conclusion to the end of this series with many twists even being the last book.
I liked how this series ended but I will miss Kai. Definitely makes into my top book boyfriend list.
Tropes: same as book 1-2, forced proximity, forced marriage

Doctor Fionn Kane is running from a broken heart, one he hopes to mend in small-town Nebraska, far away from his almost-fiancé and his derailed surgical career. It’s a simpler life: head down, hard work, and absolutely no romantic relationships. He wants none of the circus he left behind in Boston.

This being the last one is sooo sad. I am hoping there will be more in this world though ??? Plssssss
I loved the series and the writing was fun. It truly was a silly dark romance and we need more of these.
While I loved book 1 and 2 I’ve been waiting for this one since they teased it in book 1 and it was worth it. I definitely got into this series at the right time and I still procrastinated the ending because I didn’t want this series to end. Like truly I had about 2 minutes left and still I think I waited a month to finish it… I didn’t want to let go. Just like a certain swing.
Annyyway these are silly but still cover some dark topics and I love it.
Barbra may have stolen the show though soooo sorry. Also I would’ve loved to see the 3 girls come together and deal with sometime just them. Like come we deserve some bada$$ women stirring sh!T up.
Tropes: insta connection, serial unaliver with a doctor, touch her and d!e, touch him and d!e, hurt/comfort, forced proximity (sadly there is more than one bed), hobbies that turn dirty, friends with benefits

Twenty-four-year-old Saeris Fane is good at keeping secrets. No one knows about the strange powers she possesses or the fact that she has been picking pockets and stealing from the Undying Queen's reservoirs for as long as she can remember. But a secret is like a knot. Sooner or later, it is bound to come undone. When Saeris comes face-to-face with Death himself, she inadvertently reopens a gateway between realms and is transported to a land of ice and snow. The Fae have always been the stuff of myth, of legend, of nightmares… but it turns out they're real.

Gods! This book was good. Hooked me almost from the very beginning. Saeris was amazing and fun to read. This book had me laughing, tearing up, and smiling like a goof at times.
I loved Fisher too and surprised even myself and fell for Swift. I can’t wait for book 2 because at this point it’s going to be amazing.
I want more POVs from everyone. I want to hear from all the characters but I did love the Audiobook too! The narrators were amazing and it was fun to listen and follow along in the kindle book. It allowed me highlight but also be able to listen while I was doing tasks.
Annnyway
Back to the book. It’s a good read. A long book and only like 2 times did I think it could’ve moved faster but for the most part it moved quickly that you don’t fully realize how long of a book it is. I will be waiting eagerly for book 2.
Tropes: enemies to lovers(🤨), touch her and d!e, touch him and d!e, silly friend, jealous MMC, fated mates, magic, forced proximity, she’s the savior(yes. Very cliche- but worth it), she has a special kind of magic(again. Yes a cliche), magic tattoos, he calls her by a nickname, vampires, Fae males(need I say more?)

It's the dog's fault, really. If this untrained Great Dane I'm walking had any manners at all, I never would've ended up here: With my leash wrapped around the most gorgeous man I've ever seen. Lucky for me, the guy is a good sport about it. (Although his joke that “Dogs take after their owners” hits a little too close to home when Rufus starts humping his leg.) He leaves me with his business card and a smile that makes my knees weak.

First of all. I’m annoyed that this miscommunication and just annoying Sam behavior is going to continue into another book.
I read this book solely because I love the narrator of the audiobook and the preview made me laugh. But Nova makes dumb decisions over and over again. She’s constantly forgiving behavior wayyyy too quickly. I understand she was always going to forgive him but it was with zero real apologies or efforts on his part and it happened repeatedly over and over.
It made her seems less strong in my eyes. Especially when she could’ve been so bada$$. Like she survived a whole lot and kept saying she’d never go back then did. Like soooo many times.
At least Sam was honest about how he’s a sh!t person a lot. I was hoping the next book was about Myles and not more on this but I need to know how the story ends so I will read on.
Tropes: mafia, touch her and d!e, far too forgiving FMC, emotionally dumb MMC, don’t touch the dog, alphaholes(but not in the good way)

Funny Dark Romance
Reviewed: 01-28-25
TW: actually sooo many but they are listed in the very beginning of the book in great detail. But here are the big ones: child SA(not seen but mentioned), child ab*se, cann!balism(both accidentally and not - the not is not the MCs), m*rder(obvi) and all that comes with it in detail(including but not limited to eye plucking(not gauging 😉)), drugg!ng, light playful sta/king from both parties, p33ping Tom, implied future r@pe(never happens but is mentioned with a little detail)
I was a little worried about starting this book but I saw sooo many good reviews so I said. Why not? And I. LOVED. It.
It was dual POV(which is always a way to my heart) and it was funny and a little dark but it was mostly fun.
Two cereal unalivers who compete each year in a de*dly game while falling for each other? Adorable actually.
The author did a great job and honestly the audiobook was 10/10 worth it. I think listening to how they speak sometimes makes a book better.
So if you’re considering the audiobook this is your push to do it! I loved it! It’s a duet so it’s better than just one narrator and they speak in each other’s chapters which is my fav way!
Sloane is a bada$$ and honestly I love her so much and I just know that Lana Myers would also love her.
Rowan was your typical protective MMC who definitely would and has k!lled for her. We love it. Not that Sloane needs saving but it was adorable.
Also did I mention he follows her home and sends food to her house and teaches her to cook while sitting outside hiding? 10/5 for a gentleman who can cook.(he’s a chef) OH and he has an Irish accent so already he went from a 10 to an 11.
If you can handle a dark comedy romance then I highly suggest this one ! But pls read the full list of TWs in the beginning! If you want to know what they are before you read I’m sure you can see it in the sample (it was in the sample of the audiobook)
Tropes: touch her and d!e, touch him and d!e, both are cereal unalivers, they save each other, friends to lovers, grumpy/sunshine(light- and she’s the grump), he falls first, playful rivalry, one bed, I guess you could say forced proximity but it’s more like he puts himself in her space

Story
I used to have big dreams: finish college, make beautiful art, all while taking over my dad’s business. He wanted a legacy, and I wanted to give it to him. But his illness wasn’t part of the plan. Neither was his sudden need to keep me locked up in our mansion, safe and isolated. I want more from life, but could only spend my days waiting. Until one night, I came face-to-face with a street biker from a world far different from mine. What starts as him stalking me, quickly spirals into something deeper, and more deadly.

I enjoyed this book a lot. I did the audiobook but had the ebook on my kindle as well. I enjoyed the male voice narrator a lot.
Rook is trying to unalive her father for his cr!mes against Rook and his family but when he randomly meets Regan his plans start to change. Her BF leaves her in a back alley with a man pointing a 🔫 at her so the Rook takes her home but not before getting her cookies.
Rook and Regan shouldn’t work but somehow they do and as their worlds start to collide they can’t stay away from each other.
I loved that Rook wasn’t willing to change who he was as a person and Rebel never asked that of him. He is always going to be in the grey and she will join him there.
She was tough but also still held onto an innocence about her but when it came down to it she got sh!t done. She doesn’t hesitate to do what needs to be done and we love her for it.
Tropes: touch her and d!e, touch him and d!e, he’s supposed to be ru!ning her life but falls in love instead, one “horse”(motorcycle) sta/king her/she sta/ks him back, morally grey MMC, motorcycle MMC, “I made her my queen”
